I got bored yesterday so I made my Pleco some jello cubes before his lettuce went bad. Here is a step by step Instructable on the process, complete with pictures. There's also a link in there to the original "snail jello" thread on AC which had a ton of different recipes for your aquatic inverts. Does anyone else make their own fish food? If so, care to share your recipes?

@Shanna: you're welcome.
@Akari: woooo, I inspired a subforum!
So far Samurai Lapin LOVES his jello. It's also easier because I don't have to worry about the lettuce going bad, or using up all of Lazy's lettuce, because SL eats A LOT. xD When I first put a cube in there, Spangles swam over and took a bite then spit it out, he was like yuck...veggies.

One of the boys I used to have wouldnt eat AT ALL for 1st week I had him (I was trying to get him to eat something other then his pellets), and at one point I found a cricket in my room (its actually a carpeted garage lol) and I caught it and threw it in his tank, and he chased it around for a while, then stalked it when it finally gave up, and then ate all its legs off, then proceeded to play with it rofl

That's cute. I feed fruit flies sometimes.
An update on the food cubes: My pleco loves them and he can now devour an entire cube in one day.
