Apparently, he's hanging up his boots.

What do you think? Good timing, or just predictable?

He's better served as a trainer/teacher. I think the WWE did the right thing keeping him around, and hopefully he'll be the one calling the shots in FCW in terms of training. The guys down there need to develop their own style instead of molding into that cookie cutter.

Perfect timing! He's old, but a damn good teacher. I can see a lot of excellent talents coming with Regal at the helm. 3nodding

Oh man I feel sad about Regal...
The article was right, he was never given a push...WWE just wasted his talent and instead, pushed John Cena until he reached Nickelodeon grounds...

Well, he DID get a singles push when he won KoTR.

What about when he was Raw's GM?

That was more a manager's push.

But, it was one of his more successful roles. Regal as a wrestler, while he has a load of talent, is not as entertaining as he has that charisma problem that some wrestlers have. He is a much better personality out of the ring, and, as evident with Daniel Bryan, an amazing teacher. If they use him to train in the FCW, we should expect to see a much deeper talent pool within the next few years.

Haha, I still remembered when he ended Raw before the Main Event was completed because the fans kept interrupting him. Was great.

I can't believe I'm about to say this.. Kevin's right, he's better off as an outside the ropes personality despite his MASSIVE amount of talent. The guy's been around forever, and while he hasn't lost his edge, I'd rather not see him on Superstars every week, simply because the way Creative misuses him angers me to the point where I want to RegalPlex my TV.

Superstars seem to be the only show the really focus on wrestling. That is the main reason i try to watch it every Thursday. Kaval vs Drew McIntyre 2 was amazing. Darren Young vs William Regal.. ~thumbs up~

Back to Regal. Regal is an amazing wrestler I enjoy watching. I even watch some of his European match earlier in his career. I thought it was funny that he no sold Goldberg in WCW.

Yeah shame he didn't get that WWE title push. Darn him failing the drug policy. Shame that when someone else fails that test they would get a major push, but when he does...Nothing. Goose Egg. Not even an ECW title run when ECW was active.
