Just in case anybody hasn't seen this movie yet... DON'T! It's slow like you wouldn't believe, it's not scary, and wen you think it's finally over, it goes on for another twenty minutes of disappointment. That warning being made, I have to leave for work. See you later, folks.

Couple getting a divorce, fighting over custody, mom and girl get an apartment on a small island in NY (I believe they said Rooseveldt Island), place is creepy, has a leaky ceiling. There are creepy sounds coming from the apartment upstairs, and it's flooded a lot. There are weird sounds coming from it, and the daughter starts seeing things. Then about 3/4 of the way through the movie, you think there might actually be a ghost. yeah. You really don't want to watch it.

Actually it's atleast WAY better than the original Japanese version. xDDDD We saw that at an Anime con, and everyone was in the theater laughing or yelling. "DON'T GON IN THERE YOU MORON!" Or when the bath over flowed it looked like a dirty toilet so everyone said. "Eeeeewww...."

That actually doesn't sound any worse than the American version at all. I find that americanized versions of Japanese things tend to be much worse, imo. Ever seen the live action Fist of the North Star? Total crap. Though the Guyver movies were decent. Man, I need to find those somewhere.

The Japanese version was pretty bland. It gives away the whole plot with an event about 30 seconds after they move into the flat.
Spoiler: highlight: They talk about a girl who has gone missing, and then when she switches on the tap, clumps of black hair fall out. Well, I thought, I gues that missing girl is in the water system then. More than likely a water tank. That she must have fallen into. Only the movie then carries on as if it's all a big mystery.

I liked the Japanese version a lot more, because it made more sense. Seriously, what kinda American mother would do that in the end?

What did the American-mom do?
(write it in white if it's a spoiler.)

I was going to see it. Now I won't. YAY! Thank you for saving me from a Napolean Dynamite-esque waste of IQ points.
