I really want to know since so many people seem to kill bosses- Dullahan- using summon rushing, especially in hard mode. I haven't used summon rushing since the first time I play and it was for Dully only. I don't think summon rushing is a good way to win. So do you use summon-rushing often?

I prefer to keep my team strong. Summon rushing does damage, but it takes away nearly half your HP, alot of defense and attack and usefull psynergies, I prefer to use psynergies.

I only summon-rushed when I was going through Crossbone Isle for like the third to fifth time.
Anyway, summon-rushing against Dullahan is an AWFUL strategy. gonk You begin the battle with dramatically lowered stats, so it's most likely Dully will get the first hit on you. I tried that, and it was NOT fun. gonk gonk

I have one phrase for beating Dully with summon-rushing: super happy fun time strategy. Kills him in four turns + or - one. The rest of the time, I only use summons when the come up available. ^_____^

I was able to beat Doom Dragon with a lvl 42 party without summoning. It was actually... Fun and easy. I tried to bear Dullahan with the same party and gets killed everytime... -_-; I think I need to level up a bit more... ^^;
Though it's true that having your stats butchered by the djinn on standby or recover completely ruins any strategy you might have against a tough boss... Making it extremelly difficult to win a fight without at least some party members DYING. The super happy fun time strategy requires the sacrifice of one party, does it not? ^^; I do not exactly remember... And I want my whole party to be alive when I beat Dully, so I need more training. >_>;

Max stats quest is your friend. I killed the serpent in Gaia Rock without any lights, and you know that's really hard since there aren't any good weapons (excluding the sylph rapier) at that time. I actually can summon rush all I want and not get my character's stats reduced. cough1cough7cough0coughhourscoughandcoughcountingcough.
The only summons anyone should really need is the 4 level 4 summons- Judgement- to raise your elemental pwr.

I summon-rush with summons that don't take away vital spells from my healers, like Mia or Jenna or Isaac (Revive).

Only reason I summon rushed Dullahan was cause I figured, I'd rather use my djinn on him before he uses that attack that puts them all in recovery mode =_= death will quickly follow that move...

So the question becomes, against an opponent where your djinni are all going to be in recovery mode in a few turns anyway, is it better to summon rush and get it over with, or to try to stick it out?
I don't summon rush, so I don't have anything to go on there.

Everytime I try and stick it out, I end up dead... gonna restart the game on easy mode with my level 90 chars and see if I can take out dullahan without summoning...

I LIKE Summon Rushing. It could just be my tendency to overkill on bosses in all games... But, hey. The summons look cool.
...And I like laughing maniacally. It's fun. ^_^
