because we all know that eating nasty pellets and flakes everyday is boring. so, what are some things that you feed your bettas?

i like giving mine crickets and mealworms sometimes as treats aswell as frozen bloodworms

My Bettas are the most spoiled things in the world! They get 4 different types of pellets (two mystery brands mixed together, and those are mixed with TetraMin Granuals, and then Wardley Betta Pellets), 3 different types of flakes (Omega One Betta Buffet, Omega One Freshwater, and BettaMin), Frozen BloodWorms, Frozen Brine Shimp, Sun Dried Baby Shrimp, Guppy fry (if I have more them I can handle, and they are small enough), and the occational snail if they get mad at me for missing a feeding. The only things they dont get that my other fish do are Hikari Sinking Algea Wafers (though Plutto and Mister did try eat a few of those when the shimp was still in their tank. She figured out how to have free-range of the tank by jumping the divider lol), frozen veggies, and this weird dried brown marine algea "SeaWeed Salad" stuff...

Main Food: Hikari Sinking Carnivore Pellets, Aquarian Sinking Shrimp Pellets, and Kent Betta Pellets.

Supplements: Frozen Thawed Blood Worms, Frozen Thawed Daphnia and Live Baby Brine. I'm also looking into getting some live blackworms from my lfs as a nice treat.

I tried feeding my betta brine shrimp once, but I don't think he realized it was food. Maybe I'll try bloodworms.

It took a few times for my boys to realize that BS was food. Sometimes, if you fast them for a day, or even just skip one feeding, they figure it out faster.
