I could see why people would say no (Takes longer for diabetics to heal - could lead to an infection)
Honestly though, if your diabetes is in good control I dont see why not. You could always call your Endo for their opinion too, yknow? :333

I have my ears pierced. I don't think it really matters unless it's a piercing in an area that can be prone to getting an infection, like a tongue piercing. Food and other bacteria get in a tongue piercing pretty easy and can cause an infection.
If it's like a simple ear piercing you should probably be fine.

Dax q I have my ears pierced. I don't think it really matters unless it's a piercing in an area that can be prone to getting an infection, like a tongue piercing. Food and other bacteria get in a tongue piercing pretty easy and can cause an infection. If it's like a simple ear piercing you should probably be fine. I personally think toung piercings are disgusting

As said above, it could take longer for the wound to heal, but it depends where it is. However, if your diabetes is well-controlled then there should not be a massive problem. Just be aware of infection a bit more, and if you think it might be, try an antibacterial cream like neosporin or see your doctor!

I personally have my ears done (and in the process of gauging them), an industrial, right side of my lip, and tongue pierced. I had bites at one time, my nose, and a surface piercing in my neck! I also have two tattoos, one of them is actually a medical alert thing on my wrist! As long as you take care of them like everyone else, you should be just fine!
