Shooting Range: The shooting range is used for practice with weaponry of all kinds. The targets for firearms are paper targets with silhouettes of a front view of a man, with various circles indicating critical hit zones. Targets are placed at different intervals to enable practice at various distances. Small towers are placed by the shooting range to allow practice for sniping from buildings. To the side of the shooting range is a small range for rocket launchers, grenade launchers, grenades, etc. The targets in this range consist of straw stuffed dummies to allow for more realism while using your explosive based weaponry.
Rules: -Try to wear safety goggles and ear plugs at all times. -If a fellow members steps into the line of fire, stop shooting immediately. -Do not wander around the firing range while firing is going on. -No friendly fire.

Chib wanders over to the newly erected shooting range, canister rifle in hand. Loading the rifle with empty shells, chib takes his shot at sniping (sorry, i had to xp ). The first shot whizzes past the target, barely grazing the side of the dummy. The secound shot hits dead on in the head. "Perfect" Chib says, as he reloads and continues to practice

Junior Knight Xenos approaches the firing range and lays down into a proned position. He places his earplugs in over his ears and places the magazine into his sniper rifle. Taking around thirty to forty seconds to aim up his shot, he eventually fires.
After taking his one shot, he stands up, leaving the rifle on the ground and dusts himself off. Xenos then walks forward about five feet and picks up a small cardboard target sticking out of the ground, and then rejoices. "Haha! Finally! I made it into the third ring!"
*small weapons skill increases to 30%*

((This wouldn't be as long if I weren't bored. ^_^ Also, in the spirit of being willing to ask for help, I don't understand the improvement thing, such as what was at the bottom of the last post. Can anyone explain?))
Other than the barracks and other required stops, the first place the initiate named Lai would stop was to be the shooting range. Knives and small arms were her specialties; anything that was easily concealed (and wouldn't blow her up if something went wrong), she had a mad passion for.
From a rack she grabbed a pair of roughed-up earmuff looking things that would subdue most of the sound, as well as a pair of protective glasses. A Needler was in one holser on her hip, a Colt .45 in the other. It was the Needler she'd be practicing with, as her experience with it was greatly limited.
Lai approached one of the target lanes, unholstering the Needler as she walked, and checking it. Loaded, check. Clean, check. Put together properly, check. Holding the gun for a moment or two in her shooting hand--she was left handed--she got a feel for it. The four pounds of gun, the grip, the way the trigger felt. A new gun for a new phase in her life. Perfect.
She raised it to level, one eye squinting closed as her hand moved a tad to the right, focusing on the lining up of the gun and the target. If this were real that much time was out of the question, but that was what training was for. Getting a feel, and practice.
Her finger tightened around the trigger and a plastic needle tore from the gun, peircing straight through the stand-up several centimeters from the target's head. Lai only aimed for the body if she had to shoot, then think. Headshots were preferred. So, she lined up again, a bit more quickly, and fired. Far-left of the head, it wouldn't even have hit the eye. Again she aimed, faster, with a feel for the needed position, and fired. Deadbolt where a human's mouth would've been. She fired again, position changing, and this time she missed the target's right shoulder by almost two inces. It was a good gun though, projectiles sharp instead of...blunt, for lack of better word...like most bullets. She liked. It suited her.
Grinning, she safety-locked the pistol type weapon and holstered it, striding down her target's shooting lane, to examine her shots. Not bad, but she could do better. The two misses could always have been hits, and in the future life may hang in the balance of hit-or-miss.

((I'm really not sure why Xenos Mortium put that in there at the end, we don't have individual stats that go up by percentages. In the Fallout Tactics game, it had personal stats where you could gain points towards weapon skills and whatnot, that's probably what he was referring to. But in the guild, it's practicing your skills to get better, no personal stats really.))

((Yeah, I just felt like being silly. Because, if you've ever played Fallout Tactics, then you'd know that if you only have 25% or 30%, the shot I made was about all that you could do. In order to do sniping at all, you'd have to have at least 100%, and preferrably 150% or higher.))

*strolls in, pistoles at my sides in their holsters, and my sniper rifal in hand.*hmm... this is a nice facility*I mumble to myself as I set the paper shot dummies at random distances and prepares to start using guns for battle for the first time*... well this should be interesting

*takes aim at the first target with the rifal, and unlodes a round that skims past the head of the target, quickly ejecting the used round and reloading, I set off a strait shot to the center of the heart. Then another to the brain. After about 20 perfect shots, I set the rifal on a strap on my back and pull out the colt that is on an abdomin holster. Once out I open fire on one of the closer targets, covering it compleatly with holes, before disassembling the gun, reassembling it, and putting it back away. Finally with about 23 targets still out there, I draw the two needle pistoles load them and starts running at a sprint across the range. Opening fire with both guns as I run, the shots arn't very acurate, but still would probably be fatal with their numbers. After this I stop and catch my breath.*... well that was entertaining...*I say as I quickly clean the two needle pistoles and walk off back to the barracks to see if my paladin is there yet.*
