and you had to have just one book with you, what would you want it to be?

___________

Mine would be Kushiel's Avatar by Jaqueline Carey. She's pretty much my all time favorite author, and I've read most of her books multiple times (and it never gets old).

I've always wanted to read the "Kushiel's" series but I haven't actually come across the first one.

Let's see... it would have to be one I've read a hundred times, so I know I wouldn't get tired of it. Probably Watership Down. Or one of the Discworld novels.

One of three books:
1) The Bible, because of religious reasons, and it also has many different writing styles in it. I think everyone could find at least one book in there they like.
2) This large book I had with Cs Lewis's most noted theological books. It's take me forever to read and then to reread, and I'd get a lot out of it.
3) A huge notebook and pen so I could write whatever I please. I never get enough writing done because I'm always too busy reading. xd

The first trilogy (Phedre's story) are my favorites - with the 3rd one being my all-time fav. I wasn't as thrilled with the 2nd trilogy (Imriel's story), though the 2nd one in that one is rather profound in a way, so it's my favorite of that group. The newest trilogy (which is set a few generations in the future), I'm still a bit one the fence about - the storyline really seems a bit forced. They aren't bad, but I guess I just didn't connect with those characters the way I did with the first few books.

Its a bit below my reading level, but it would be entertaining enough so that I don't have to start talking to volley balls and still use informative enough to maybe help me survive.
