THE HUNGER GAMES HAVE BEGUN...

In what was once known as North America, is now the city of Panem. It contains the Capitol and 13 districts surrounding it. The Capitol had control of the districts, so they formed an uprise. The districts lost the battle and the Capitol destroyed District 13. Now, as punishment, the Capitol picks two tributes - a girl and a boy - from each district and puts them in an arena to fight to the death. They created the Hunger Games. The Capitol's way of reminding us that we are not free, we are not safe, they can kill us off whenever they choose. Most likely the odds are not in your favor. If you were chosen as a tribute, you have no luck at all. Nobody cares that peoples lives are ruined everyday by this stupid game. Well, nobody in the Capitol cares anyway. We are being thrown into an arena, and we have to fight for our lives. Survival of the fittest is what you might call it, or Survival of the smartest, strongest, or luckiest for the most part. The Gamemakers are usually making us tributes driven to fighting, and if they don't do their job, they get punished. It's all about entertainment for most. Or all about pain for the others. However you look at it, it sucks.
The arena this year is large. It has a dense forest, full of Pines, Furs, and trees like that. Their is not much else different in it. The forest if full of animals, and small ponds. No large lakes or anything of the sort. In the day, the temperature can reach up to 95°. In the night, it can go to 0°. The cornucopia is surrounded by four larges pine trees. Let's see how this goes....
