Ok, so I've had several ideas for some group roleplays. One I have tried to launch twice, it started the first time but them someone had a medical emergency so the thread died. On my second attempt to launch it again... no one took the bait. So I've been thinking that maybe I should change it up a bit, but i'm so nervous to do so because it took me a month just to get it to where I have it now. But I am so willing to make improvements if it needs to be.
Here is what I have fore the "plot/story" behind it. It's titled Forgotten Cities and there are no humans in this roleplay.
------------------
xxxxxxIn the beginning, all of the creatures lived in harmony. But as the humans evolved and grew, they became more destructive and stretched out to places they should not. Cancerous they are, spreading like a disease, expanding their territories and land. Forcing the creatures, who first inhabited the planet before man, out of their natural homes and to the edges of the land. Dragons, who once protected the humans, being forces out of their natural habitat, hiding becasue they are being hunted for their hide. Elves, who once nurtured and cared for the humans, abandoning their forests. Dwarves, leaving their precious mountains and jewel. The weaker amoung the creatures, being hunted down and captured, sold into slavery only to be put to work in stead of the vile humans.
xxxxxxThe creatures that were able to get away from the selfish and narrow minded humans, established three cities. Sûlost, a city that was once part of the land, but has now took to the sky and is now and forever floating through the heavens. Alcedonia, which was once a lost and sunken city at the bottom of the ocean, has now been risen up to the surface and is now drifting freely across the vast ocean blue. And Finally, Nuinfaun, a newly build city on land. These three cities became a safe haven for those who couls escape the humans. The dragons, that once protected the humans, now only keep everyone ans everything in the cities save, patroling the skies around the cities, defending the cities if need be, beinf transportation for those who with the visit the others but can not fly or swim long distances.
xxxxxxThough as the cities prosper and thrive, the humans continued to grow and be destructive, becoming conceded and even more selfish and narrow minded. Many years passed by as the humans continued their destructive behavior and eventually forgotten the natural dwellers of the land. Now the three wonderful cities continue to thrive and grow, but they have soon became legend as the years passed by. They they became myth and then became the forgotten cities.
----------
Should I add a city of fire? Or What should I do? Would people be interested in doing the roleplay with it just being like this...? I don't know.

It seems like you have a pretty solid concept going already. But if you were to make a city of fire, what kind of inhabitants would live there? You might have better luck here, since this place is for literate and serious role-players. :3 We're small, I know, and people are a bit busy at this time of year, but I think you could draw some interest with this concept.

Thank you for the response. ^__^
Hmm, Well if I made a fire city. I don't know. But then again I didn't really constrict only certain types of inhabitants to live only in certain cities. I will always think that there is room for improvement.
I had this roleplay set up as there will be at least an Elder, Three "Mayors" or "Leaders" of the cities, and Three personal guardians of the leaders, like a body guard.

Well, I didn't necessarily mean only a certain type of being lives in a single city. I was just curious if each city originally was constructed like that... like they had their origins in one of those cities. :3 My main suggestion is to try and keep the group on the smallish size. It'll be easier to manage that way.

Oh I see, Haha, blonde moment.. (seeing as I am a blonde).
Well, how I had it is going to be a small group. Mainly just... the city council, if you want to call it that.
The Elder The Three "Leaders" and their Advisors. And Three Guardians.
So I guess big group of ten characters. XD But I had it to where people can play up to two characters.

Sûlost - City of the Sky (Pronounced: sool - ohst) Traits of most citizens of Sûlost: Intelligence, Knowledge, Wit, Cunning, Beauty, Cleverness, Loyalty, Dedication
Sûlost was a city that was once on land. But after the humans began to take over and destroy the land, the city, with the collective help of Bein (The Elder) and other creatures with magical powers, was raised to the sky. Now, Sûlost floats across the heavens amoung the clouds where there are litterally no bounds of where it can go.
Alcedonia - City on Water (Pronounced: al - se - donia) Traits of most citizens of Alcedonia: Tempermental, Ambition, Cunning, Determination, Resourcefulness, Self-preservation.
Alcedonia was once a lost and sunken city not used by the merfolk. With once again, the collective help of Bein and the other magic wielding creatures, they were able to rise the underwater city to the surface of the ocean. Where now, Alcedonia floats across the seemingly endless blue sea.
Nuinfaun - City on land (Pronounced: new - in - fown) Traits of most citizens of Nuinfaun: Loyalty, Dedication, Hard Work, Friendly, Non-judgemental, Courage, Daring, Nerve, Chivalry, Bravery
Nuinfaun is a fairly new city compared to Sûlost and Alcedonia. Nuinfaun began its construction shortly after Sûlost took to the sky. When Alcedonia finally risen from the bottom of the oceam, Nuinfawn was half way done being built. It was completed and quickly established when Alcendonia was cleaned of the alge and coral. Now is a thriving city just like it's two elder sister cities. ------------------- Here is the rest of the "intro" to Forgotten Cities, This is just some more brief info on the three cities. I suppose I could put more to it...
