What brand of food do you guys like? I like Tetra because its cheap and for the price, it is pretty good quality. But, I have recently discovered the joys of Omega One foods. My Bettas, for one, LOVE it. Two of them will jump out of the water and attack my fingers if I dont get the food in fast enough, and my Guppies and Opaline Gourami get so excited that if it were possible, they would pee them selves xd

Hikari is usually my food of choice, but I use several other brands. Different brands use different ingredients even on the same type of pellet, so I like to have a few different bags of food from different people and I switch off every day. I'd love to try some of the different pellets from ken's.

I've never used Hikari, besides Algae Wafers, and at one point I got a small sample can of NLS, (my friends mom ordered an automatic feeder for their turtles when they go away and it came with it) and my Guppies would NOT touch the stuff XD So I gave it to another friend, who keeps SW fish, and one of them would only eat the red flakes rofl The onlt Hikari food I have ever seen is the gold-whatever for Bettas, and I actually didnt like the ingredients they used. I could very well just be that particular type of Hikari food, but it had stuff in it that the Bettas didnt need, like wheat-something or another (its been a while since I read the package...)

I got some Hikari Fancy Guppy pellets. I have been testing them out a mystery fry that I got in some plants I bought. The little guy is growing very fast! In just a few weeks, he went from being about a 1/4 inch long, and having to eat powdered pellets to being just under 1 inch, and eating whole pellets. The Tetras go nuts over them, and the Bettas seem to like them too. They are too small for my Opaline Gourami, so I have to mix in some flakes when I feed the pellets, but she manages to get a few anyway 3nodding

I use repashy super food. It's not very readily available on the market, but it has no preservatives or anything that can harm the fish, best of all, no wheat. It's a good alternative gel food for those of us too lazy to make our own.
Tetra and top fin foods are total junk. Loaded with wheat and preservatives and food dye. Hardly any nutrition in them whatsoever. Tetra foods actually have ingredients that are growth-inhibitors (soybean oil in particular). Before repashy I used omega one. If I were to step down form repashy I'd go for new life spectrum, though. Next down would actually be aqueon scientifically (though I hate aqueon with a bleeding passion), then hikari.
