On a dull stone path, a man in his twenties walked alone. He wore a gray cloak that covered his body. He had pale white hair, which the moonlight reflected off of. His eyes appeared soulless as he walked down the path. A silver amulet hung from his neck, it had a strange word in a different language carved into it. It swayed as he walked. The moon was full and glowed brightly down, which gave enough light for him to see. Trees lined the path, a slight breeze knocked a few leaves off each time, and they danced around the road before the man. He continued to walk. About half a mile ahead was a small tavern. Bright lights shined out the window, and the man walked on towards it. Behind the trees, an odd snickering noise could barely be heard. A strange creature in ragged clothing looked out from behind one of the towering trees. It wore a dagger sheathed at it's side, and it's eyes traced the man's every move. It snickered again, and fell back into the darkness, to plot it's next move. The man paid no attention to it, he was completely focused on the tavern ahead. After a little more walking, he soon came to a stop at the door. It was large, and loosely built. He pushed the door in, and saw only a few people in the bar. There were small wooden tables placed throughout of the room, and small chairs under them. Two drunk men laughed and hiccuped at eachother's jokes, though none of the jokes made any sense. At the end of a bar, a man and woman smiled and talked with eachother, both seemed to be deep in the conversation. At one of the wooden tables, a man wearing dark blue clothing watched him enter. The man grinned and rose from his chair, and greeted the costumer.
"Hey there, you can call me Banzo!" Said the man, patting the stranger on the back. "So what brings you to the tavern?"
The man in gray only stared at Banzo. "To rest." Answered the man, as he walked farther into the tavern.
"Well, come join me at my table then!"
"No thank you." Said the man.
"You sure? And my I ask you something?"
"What is it?"
"From the clothing you wear, and the unmistakable amulet...Are you Ryokan?" Asked Banzo, the room became silent. Except for the constant hiccuping by the two drunk men.
"That is of no importance." Answered the man, as he moved away from Banzo, and closer to the bar.
"I know it's you!" Shouted Banzo, he was laughing to himself. "Then you should come sit at my table. I have a proposal!" Said Banzo.
"What kind?" Asked the man.
"You'll have to find out by coming with me." Said Banzo with a smirk as he returned to his table. The man mumbled something and followed him. Once the two were seated, Banzo rummaged around in his pocket. After a minute of searching, he pulled out a crumbled and teared piece of paper. He spread out of sheet of paper on the wooden table, it was a bounty mission. A large picture was on the center, he had short black hair that almost covered his eyes. His name was Benkei.
"You want me to slay him?" Asked the man.
"I want you to help me catch and kill him, then we split the bounty!" Said Banzo. "Sounds pretty fair, if you ask me."
"No thank you." Said the man, known as Ryokan. He stood up and pushed in the char. He walked over to the bar and sat down, and soon the bartender was there, and took his order.
"You sure?" Asked Banzo, taking the seat next to him. "The reward is huge!"
"But I refuse."
"Why?"
"I read the entire thing, it does not state his crime, therefore, it's merely revenge by someone to weak to do it themselves."
"So? It doesn't matter what he did, he's wanted, and that means he needs to be found."
Ryokan took the glass, and drank it. He wiped his mouth and stood up. "I'll be leaving then." He dropped a few gold coins on the counter, then headed for the door.
"Come on, you know you want to help!" Shouted Banzo, as he quickly got up from his seat.
Ryokan ignored him, and left the tavern. He took a right, and headed down another road. He was going towards a city.
"So, where are you going?" Asked Banzo, who was now following him.
"To Lunar's End." Said Ryokan.
"Lunar's End? That's all the way across the world, and you have to go through Lunar's Way to get there!"
"Of course, I know that."
"What do you need there anyway?"
"There is something of importance there." He reached for his amulet, and wrapped his hand around it.
"What? What's there?"
"I cannot tell you." Answered Ryokan.
"Your a boring person..." Mumbled Banzo. "I'll be going to find Benkei and bring him in, you do whatever you want. Maybe our paths will cross again!" Shouted Banzo, as he ran ahead of Ryokan.
Ryokan only sighed, and a small smile grew on his face. "Silence at last..." Ryokan slowed his pace and enjoyed the walk. He failed to notice what was lurking behind the trees.

Behind the looming trees were now a small tribe of goblins. They snickered and growled loudly, Ryokan turned to face to noise, all he saw were small beady red eyes looking out from the darkness. He reached into his cloak calmly and slowly. He then pulled out a katana. First out was the hilt, which was pitch black. Then the hilt guard, it was a dull gray, and was a circle. Then the long, keen blade. The blade was pure white, with a silver shine. He held the katana at his side, taking no stance. The goblins jumped out from the trees at him, all at once. He swiftly moved across one, his blade cutting through it like paper. He quickly turned and lunged the blade through the head off another. The rest landed and turned around to attack. One reached it's out it's claws at Ryokan's neck. The arm slid off it's body, then Ryokan kicked it back into a tree. One was left standing, it reached for it's dagger. He shakily held it infront of him, using a weak stance. Ryokan merely walked forward, the goblin watched him with frightened eyes. The dagger then shattered, then the left half of the goblin's body slid off to the ground, then the right half fell back. Ryokan struck the air with his katana, letting the blood slide off his blade. He then sheathed it inside his cloak again. A small chuckle echoed throughout the woods, Ryokan looked up to see a figure standing atop a tree. It was human, and female. She looked to be in her early twenties. She wore loose noble looking clothing, the sleeves hung over her hands. Her long dark hair ran down her back. She watched him with determined eyes. She noticed that she was spotted by Ryokan, but didn't seem surprised. She smiled and waved at him, then the wind howled, and she was gone. Ryokan watched and listened for another moment, expecting some kind of attack. Nothing happened, only the gentle sound of a weak breeze rolling the leaves across the stone path that was painted with drops of blood from the goblins. He shook his head, and resumed his walk. He decided not to put much thought into it, and to focus on the task at hand. Arriving to the city and finding 'him'.
The woman appeared infront of a hidden cave. She walked in with the same smile on her face. From the ceiling of the cave hung lanterns with green, blue, and red fire. The sides of the cave were merely a dull black stone. She soon came to the center of the cave, where several others were relaxing. They all looked the same age as her. "How'd it go, Kikyo?" Asked a man sitting on the ground. He had short black hair and wore a tunic with a sword on it. By his side, there was his sheathed sword, the sketching of a dragon wrapping around the worn-out scabbard.
"He shows promise, that's for sure." Said the woman. She shrugged as she walked over to some of the cushioned chairs and couches. She sat down and sighed. "He kills with such grace!"
"Is that so? Was he even wounded from it?" Asked another man, who was leaned against the wall with a large book in his hands. He had light brown hair that almost went down to his shoulders. He too wore a tunic, and the emblem on it was an eye.
"He wasn't wounded by any of it, and he even evaded the small droplets of blood the rained down from his victim!" Exclaimed Kikyo.
"Did he kill them all?" Asked a woman that walked in from the shadows. She had long blonde hair that flowed down her back. She wore a tunic aswell, it depicted a bow and arrows.
"Yes, even the one that was trembling! He shows no mercy, it's great!"
"Then he could be a great ally, or a great threat." Mumbled the woman. "Well, I'll report this to him." Said the man holding the book. He walked off into one of the many paths in the cave and disappeared into the darkness.
A woman soon ran out from another on of the holes. She had long brown hair that hung down at her knees. She also wore a tunic, it showed two knives that crossed.
"We're almost out of food!" Shouted the woman.
"What?!" The man with the sword jumped up. "What happened to it all!? We just resupplied two days ago!"
The woman looked down and covered her mouth as she burped. "Who knows..." She looked back up. "We can't let this happen! Someone needs to go to town tomorrow and get some more food."
"I will." Said Kikyo, raising her hand.
"Make sure to get as much of everything as you can!" The woman then stopped and began to think. "Wait, let's all go! We can carry more back then!"
"Do we have enough money though?" Asked the woman with the bow and arrow emblem.
"Of course Becca, I did several missions yesterday, and brought back tons of money!" Said the woman, dancing around.
The woman with the bow and arrow emblem, now known as Becca, sighed. "Fine, we can go tomorrow."
"Alright, but first, we need to solve this mystery!" Exclaimed the man with the sword emblem. He rubbed his chin. "I, Esan, shall personally solve this mystery, and find who stole the food!"
"Good luck." Said the girl with the knives emblem, she covered around burp.
This time, Esan heard the burp, and turned to her with suspicious eyes. "Say, Iruna...Can I ask you a question concerning this?"
The woman, known as Iruna, looked around, stalling to think of something. "Uh...Did you hear that? Time to get some sleep, light's out!" Iruna quickly retreated into one of the paths.
"I think I solve the mystery!" Shouted Esan, taking a heroic pose.
Becca rested her head in her hands and mumbled something.
Kikyo relaxed on the couch. She looked towards the exit and watched the trees blow. "Tomorrow will be an interesting day..."

PostPosted: Sun Nov 21, 2010 3:18 pm

Banzo was still running down the cold stone path. He grinned and snickered at the reward he'd get for capturing Benkei. He daydreamed as he walked, the moon was setting, and the sun was rising. The shining stars to slowly disappearing. His attention returned to the road when he noticed he was close to the city. The city was huge, the buildings towered high into the night sky. A large entrance gate was infront of the city, and several guards were posted there. They had short swords sheathed at their sides, and spears in their hands. Their armor was made from steel, and shined brightly from the moon. They wore the knight's helmets, which concealed their appearances. Banzo walked by them, they merely glanced a glare at him, then returned to watch the road. When Banzo got into the city, he examined the life there. Even this early, with the sun barely up, people were walking down the crowded streets. Stands were set up all along the road, crowds gathered around them with their money. Banzo pulled out the piece of paper that had the bounty and his information on it. Banzo nodded, and returned it to his pocket. He looked around, and soon found an inn. This is the one which Benkei was said to be at. Banzo grinned, and he entered the inn. The inn keeper shot a glance at him, then welcomed him with a business smile. "Hello there sir, are you looking to rent a room?" Asked the keeper in a kind tone.
"Yes, I'd like one closest to the stairs, if possible." Said Banzo.
"Besides the stairs, may I ask why?" Asked the keeper, he began to suspect his new costumer may be a thief or criminal that may be in need of a quick escape.
"So I can watch the stairs carefully." Said Banzo.
"Oh, why?"
"I'm looking for someone."
"Well, I can't give you any info on my past or current costumers, but you are welcomed to have room A10, it's right beside the staircase."
"Excellent! How much would a week be?" Asked Banzo.
The keeper grinned and with a greedy look, he said, "1000 Gold Pieces."
"1k!?" Banzo almost fell back from the price. "For a week?"
"This is a luxury inn, sir."
Banzo mumbled curses under his breath, then reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small sack of coins. He handed the money over to the keeper, who quickly stashed it away in a box under the counter. "I better find him here..."
"Excuse me?"
"Um, where's my room?
"Oh, I'll have an employee show it to you." The inn keeper whistled, and within a minute, a young man arrived beside Banzo. "Please show this gentleman to room A10."
"Yes sir. Come with me, sir." Said the young man with a slight bow. Banzo nodded, and followed the man up to the room. Once the employee left, Banzo took out the piece of paper again, and rolled it out on a table. "So, where are you Benkei?" Mumbled Banzo to himself, as he slowly drifted off to sleep while looked at the paper. He fell over and began to snore. In his sleep, he talked about the reward.
It was soon late morning, and the sun was high in the sky. A cold breeze and the hot sun made the perfect weather, so more people were out crowding the streets. Ryokan yawned as he awoke from his sleep, he found himself on an old bench. He scratched his head and wondered what time it was. He shrugged the question off and rose. He stretched, and yawned again. He then began to walk through the city, looking for the one he came to see.
"Why'd I have to come?" Asked a man, holding a book, and wearing the tunic with an eye on it. He was in the group of six.
"Because Andrew, we need as many people as we can!" Stated Iruna.
"But why'd we have to drag him along too?" Asked Andrew, pointing back at a man with long white hair, and wearing an eye-patch. His tunic showed an orb that glowed.
The man grumbled. "The leader must watch over his underlings." Mumbled the man.
"We can watch out for ourselves, FubukiT." Said Esan.
"Apparently not, if I remember what happened last time." The group was silent in thought. "Do you remember?"
"That wasn't our fault! It was this strange man named Benkei!"
"You were still involved, now let's just get what we need and go." Said FubukiT, they're leader.
"Well, if we split up, we'll find everything easier." Said Iruna.
"No we will not-" He turned to see the group was gone, all of them were running off in different directions. Iruna was dragged Esan over to the stand filled with sweets, Becca went to a stand with common supplies, Kikyo was snickering as she ran up the wall of a building, startling citizens that watched, and Andrew was reading his book as he walked off. FubukiT's eye twitched at the disobedience of his subordinates. He sighed and continued to walk straight. He began to think about his plans, but then ran into someone.
"I'm sorry." Said the man he bumped into.
"No, I wasn't looking-" It was Ryokan. "Your Ryokan, aren't you?"
"Yes? How do you know my name?" Asked Ryokan.
"I heard about you from a friend." Said FubukiT. "Please, let me treat you to something to eat."
"I must be finding someone."
"Who?"
"Someone by the name of Moku. He is said to have a map to the destination I'm heading."
"Ah, and where would that be?"
"Lunar's way."
"Ah, the fabled land of Moonlight! I've heard many mysteries and rumors of that land."
"Yes, and there's something I must find there."
"Let us talk about this over a meal? Come, follow me." FubukiT lead Ryokan to a small restaurant. The two sat down at a table, and ordered a simple meal of rice. "So, are you looking for companions on your trip?"
"No." Said Ryokan.
"It makes traveling easier, having a friend or two with you."
"No, it makes another life to protect. It will only lead to the death of the entire group."
"You sound quite depressing." Mumbled FubukiT.
"..." Ryokan sipped some tea that was placed at the table.
"So, why not join an organization? You don't have to travel with them, but you will still have allies around every corner."
"No thank you." Said Ryokan, looking away. The two continued the conversation, FubukiT's attempts at secretly recruiting him were failing. Kikyo watched from outside the building. She looked in, and grinned. She jumped up onto the top of the building and waited for a chance to catch Ryokan alone. She gazed up at the sky, and watched the clouds. They drifted slowly across the sky.
"Ugh, I fell asleep in such an uncomfortable position..." Mumbled Banzo, rubbing his neck. He looked out from his door and watched for Benkei. He waited, but saw no one. He got out, and at the end of the hall, he saw Benkei.

"Hey, you!" Shouted Banzo from across the hall at Benkei. Benkei turned around to see a strange man holding a sheet of paper. He realized the paper was a bounty request. He quickly dashed down the staircase. Banzo ran after him, and he jumped down after him. Banzo landed and saw Benkei pushed his way through a crowd and out a door. Banzo raced after him, "stop right there!!!" Shouted Banzo, chasing Benkei down the crowded streets of the city.
Becca carried a bag filled with miscellaneous items. She heard shouting, and saw two men charged towards her. She grew pale, and began shaking her bad. "No no no no..." They both ran past her. "Phew..."
Benkei suddenly stopped, turned around, and punched Banzo. Banzo fell over from the punch, and Benkei ran off. Banzo got up as fast as he could and ran after him. Benkei then ran into someone.
"Hey jerk! You almost spilled the sweets!" Shouted Iruna, turning to face him. Esan and Iruna both stared at Benkei. At the same time, the both shouted, "IT'S YOU!"
"Eh?"
"Your the one who caused the trouble last time!"
"I merely stepped on some of her candy, and she went berserk!" Exclaimed Benkei, pointing over to Iruna.
"Well, we aren't about to let you get away." Said Esan, as his hand tightly wrapped around the hilt of his sword.
"I don't have time for this, I'm being chased."
"You candy stepper-on-er!" Shouted Iruna angrily. "Did you step on someone else's candy!?"
"No! Now let me pass!"
Esan and Iruna glanced at eachother. "Sorry, no can do." Said Esan, as he drew his sword.
"I don't have time for this!" Shouted Benkei, as he dashed between them.
"Hey!" Esan and Iruna chased after him, and Banzo was catching up.
Benkei sped down the street, he looked behind him at the small group that now chased him. "What did I get myself into..."
Ryokan and FubukiT finished their meal and conversation, and departed on their way. Kikyo smirked when she saw Ryokan heading for a deserted alley. She jumped across the roofs of the buildings, and soon landed on the building that towered over the alley that Ryokan now rested in. Ryokan held his amulet up, and gazed at it with a sorrowful expression. "So we meet again!" Exclaimed Kikyo, as she fell from the sky and landed beside Ryokan.
Ryokan quickly jumped up, and his hand rested on the hilt of his katana. "It's you again..."
"What are you doing in an alley?"
"Why were you watching me last night?"
Kikyo looked to be deep in thought. "I was tree hopping, not watching you."
"Tree hopping?"
"Yes, haven't you ever heard of it?" Kikyo snickered and sighed. "So, I saw you talked with him."
"With who?"
"Our leader."
"Leader...?" Ryokan remembered the man he had the short conversation with. "He was a leader of something?"
"Not just something, but the Senshi Clan." Said Kikyo.
"Senshi? The assassination clan?"
"So you've heard of us? That's great!"
"Yes."
"Well?"
"Well what?"
"Are you going to join us? Our little organization."
"No, I won't join anything."
"Oh come on-" Ryokan's blade was at her neck. "Aren't you a quick one." Laughed Kikyo. She raised her hand and grabbed the katana by the blade. She pushed it away from her neck and let go, her hand was unscathed.
"How?"
"Hehe, secret." Said Kikyo with a grin. Then they both heard shouting.
"Stop, you candy destroyer!!!" Shouted a familiar voice. Kikyo smacked herself.
"Please don't tell me that's-"
"The great Esan shall catch you!" Shouted another familiar voice.
Kikyo sighed and mumbled something under her breath. "Well, I must bid you a farewell. Next time our paths cross, I hope you will reconsider and join us." She then jumped up from the ground to the roof of a nearby building. She looked down at Esan and Iruna chasing a man. "What are you two doing?" Asked Kikyo, as she landed infront of them, ending their chase.
"Kikyo, move! We gotta catch him!"
"No, your attracting a crowd."
"What the hell are you two doing!?" Shouted FubukiT as he stomped over to them.
"We found the candy destroyer!" Exclaimed Iruna, pointing at Benkei who was now in the far distance. "He's getting away!"
"Leave him, we're returning to our base." Said FubukiT, as he stomped off.
"Aww...Ok..." The rest followed him, Becca saw them and joined them. The group talked and argued on their way back.
Ryokan scratched his head, and wondered about the strange girl he met. He saw Banzo run by. He pretended he didn't see anything, and returned to his search for the man with the map. He sheathed his katana and walked out from the alley. He went down the crowded road to find an old, wrecked building. Inside, an old man sat and mumbled to himself. Scrolls and books littered the floor. He looked up at the newcomer. "Hello there, may I help you?"
"Are you the one in possession of the Lunar's Way map?" Asked Ryokan, his hand rested on the hilt of his blade.
"Why yes, that would be me."
Ryokan stuck his other hand into his cloak and pulled out a sack of coins and dropped it to the ground. "100,000 gold coins for it."
"I'm sorry, it isn't for sale."
Ryokan appeared shocked by this, and picked up his coins. He stuck it back into his cloak.
"I will give it to you though, if you do something for me." Said the old man with a crazy grin.
"And what would that be?"
"Bring me the horn of the beast the lurks in the forest." The old man reached from a scroll, and unrolled it. The picture of a hideous beast was on it, and details about it. "You bring me the horn, I will give you the map."
Ryokan hesitated, then reached for the scroll. He took it, folded it, and stuff it away. "Now get a move on, the day is almost over, and it is said to feed at night."
Ryokan nodded, and left the house. "Stuck doing pointless quests...It only delays my arrival...but I can't be hasty, I must be patient, I need that map..." Ryokan left the city, and followed a dirt road into the dark, mysterious woods that surrounded the back of the city.
Banzo spotted Ryokan, and shrugged. He lost Benkei, but Ryokan seemed to have found something interesting. He followed him out of the city.
The group was now back at their base, their home. They relaxed while Esan and Iruna were scolded at for causing trouble. Kikyo was grinning at the meeting she had with Ryokan. She then remembered something. She looked around the room. "Hey guys, where's Andrew?" The entire group was silent.
"Where the hell are they!?" Exclaimed Andrew, wandering the streets.

Update~...
PostPosted: Fri Dec 03, 2010 3:03 pm

The sun was setting over the tall trees. Andrew wandered the darkening streets, and soon saw Ryokan walking into a forest. He noticed a strange man following him. "Hmm, I can return as a hero with Ryokan..." He grinned, and walked after him. Ryokan sighed as he looked around, it was dark in the woods, barely any light got in through the trees. The noise from the nearby city soon calmed down, and the sound of cart wheels running on the rocky road, and animals' movements were all that could be heard now. Banzo did his best to conceal his movements. He managed to follow Ryokan without a single noise. "You there!" Exclaimed Andrew, running up the dirt road to Ryokan.
He turned around, and a man running at him with a book. "Who are you?" Asked Ryokan, as he turned back around. He didn't want to waste any time in finding the beast.
"My name's Andrew!" He exclaimed it as if he thought Ryokan had heard of him. Ryokan didn't seem to know, nor care.
"Why are you here?" Asked Ryokan, as he looked from side to side to any kind of signs of the large beast.
"Just to chat..." He thought it might not be a good idea to tell him his goal yet. He decided to think this one through. He examined Ryokan's movements and expressions. He saw a rolled up scroll, he couldn't see what was in it, but he did see a horn drawn on it. Most likely a quest. He saw something poking out from the cloak. The hilt to his katana is there. He saw how Ryokan searched for something. He must of been sent on a quest, since he carries a scroll depicting something, and a weapon. "So your looking for something? To slay perhaps?"
Ryokan stopped, and looked around. "How do you know?"
"No reason, maybe I can help."
"A book is no weapon, you cannot fight with that." Said Ryokan, as he turned around and resumed his walk.
"This is just a normal book, the weapon itself is in my soul."
"What?"
"Nevermind, now tell me what your looking for." Said Andrew, his voice was almost demanding. Ryokan sighed, and unrolled the scroll to show the hideous beast, with was on four legs and a large horn pointing out from it's head. "Interesting..."
"Hm?"
"Follow me, I know where it's den is." Said Andrew, his eyes were closed as he walked.
"How do you know?"
Andrew only snickered as a response to the question, and continued walking. Ryokan sighed and followed him. Banzo watched from a distance, he didn't know if he should join in or not. He knew the tunic Andrew wore though. They were high-ranking assassins, they carry out orders and missions, no matter the request. I wonder what the bounty is on his head... A sly grin soon grew on Banzo's face as he followed them deeper into the woods.
They soon came to a small cave, a loud roar came out from it as they approached the cave, and they stopped. "It's in here?" Asked Ryokan, as he reached for the hilt of his katana.
"Yes, so trust me and allow me to guide you through the battle."
"Guide me?"
"You'll see." Said Andrew, as he backed away. He shouted something, with alarmed Ryokan, and seemed to of provoked the beast. It charged out, "dodge left." Said Andrew calmly. Ryokan listened and jumped to the left. The beast charged and lunged it's horn to the right with a swift turn of it's head. Ryokan was surprised as he landed. Ryokan looked back to see Andrew looking in a book, it was glowing. What will it do next... The beast seems to be turning around, it's preparing for an attack. Without tactics, the beast is doomed to a untimely death. He skimmed through the pages in the book. "I've read it." Said Andrew with a bored sigh, as he closed his book.
"Read it?"
"This book, it allows me to read the mind, fighting style, and statistics of anything." Said Andrew, as the book glowed brightly, then turned to glittering dust as it fell. "Handy, isn't it?"
"But how?"
"No time to explain, you should be focusing on the fight at hand. The book said it's back right leg is weakened, and it's back seems to be soft. Those will be the spots to aim." Said Andrew, as he jumped into a tree.
"What? How do you know for sure?"
"The book told me." Answered Andrew, as he lied on a branch.
Ryokan heard a stomp, and turned around to see the beast infront of him, he barely dodged it. It charged past and quickly turned around for another attack. Ryokan drew his katana.
"Time to see the great Ryokan in battle. The book only tells me so much..." Andrew snickered as he preparing for the battle.
The beast charged back at Ryokan, he swiftly moved out of the way of the charge, then turned around quickly before the beast past him. He lunged the katana into it's right leg. It stumbled over and crashed. It lied on it's side, trying to get up. Ryokan took the katana out from it's flailing leg, he noticed there was a wound above the stab he left. It really was wounded on this leg already! What exactly is that guy, and his weird book? The beast flailed around, trying to get up and kill off it's attacker. Ryokan walked over behind it, to it's spine. He saw several scars on it's back. He was right about this too... He lunged his katana into the beast's back, and it slowly stopped moving. He walked over to it's head, and rest his hand on the tip of it's horn. He tore the horn out from the beast's head.
Andrew was shocked, "I've heard he was strong, but enough to rip out a horn that big with one hand!?" Andrew grinned, "but that was ugly move, ripping it out. Where's the grace Kikyo spoke of?" Andrew laughed as he shook his head. "Still no match for any of us though."
