Personality: Leon has a lawful-evil alignment. While he is not entirely sinister and will not go out of his way to cause chaos, he will not care about the rights and freedoms of others. He is a type who twists the rules to his favor. He does nothing unless it directly benefits him in some way and can use his seemingly friendly demeanor and sweet talk to deceive others.
Biography: The man known as Leon Newgate was an orphan by birth. Both he and his littler sister were abandoned by their parents, left to fend for themselves in the world. They lived alone on the streets, surviving each day on the scraps of yesterday. Each summer was brutal and the winters were harsh. Then war came and food became even more scarce. There was no clothing, no food, no fresh water, and no shelter for them. Everyone was desperately trying to survive the war and the two siblings had to keep alive through not only poverty, but the days of bomb droppings. Eventually the two found an old bomb shelter and lived there. As the war began to end, the two were able to find food and steal some clothing, but soon the sister fell ill. No doctor would treat her, for they had no money. His sister suffered for sixteen days, then died. The brother was left alone in the world and filled with despair, decided to leave the shelter. But he had no food and no water. He finally passed away at a train station while thinking of his sister.
In Soul Society he lived an equally harsh lifestyle in the Rukongai. He survived alone until the day he finally found his sister. However she was deep in a coma that she had been in since she had entered Soul Society. None of the doctors in the Rukongai nor Seireitei could find what was wrong. The brother blamed himself and vowed to one day find a way to bring her out of her coma. In his search, he realized he would need power, thus he joined the Soul Academy. There he met a friend who was kind to him and the two stayed together even after joining a squad.
A few years later he and his friend were attacked by hollows in the world of the living. The boy bravely fought against an arrancar, but died. It was a year later when another arrancar, a vasto lorde of tremendous power, found his grave and used hollow technology to revive him. The vasto lorde promised if the boy would aid him in destroying Soul Society, he would save his sister. In compliance, the boy changed his appearance and took the throne of Las Noches under the new name, Leon Newgate.
He has since extracted his sister from Soul Society and kept her sealed in a separate realm while he tries to return her from her coma.

Spirit's Name: Izanami
Spirit's Appearance: Izanami takes the form of two women linked by a chain shackled to their wrists. One woman is a beautiful lady draped in lavish white silk garments, while the other is a decaying corpse filled with maggots and dressed in tattered black garments.
Spirit's World: A gray world of stairs and doors that go in different directions and even upside down. The bottom of the spirit world is filled with black water where several dark hands reach up as if attempting to escape.
Spirit's Personality: Izanami has a split personality. She sometimes uses a kind, gentle side when Leon is alone, but during battle and when his emotions stir, Izanami becomes cruel, sadistic, and mentally unstable with a desire to kill.

Zanpakutou Sealed Description: A 6'7" nodachi with a black blade inscribed with the words "grief, suffering, and famine".

Shikai Description: Izanami retains the form of a nodachi, but it's hilt becomes a morphed human spine with several deformed faces that cry whenever the blade strikes something.

Shikai Abilities:
Can make the hand transparent and swipe it through a foe to drag out their reiatsu and deplete them of energy.
Can touch a foe to temporarily starve their bodies of their spiritual powers, including reiatsu-based attacks, supernatural strength, and their use of shikai or bankai. This effect is only effective as long as Leon maintains contact with the person.
A 5 meter invisible field is formed around Leon that affects reiatsu-based attacks. Any reiatsu-based attack such as the ability of zanpaktou or resurreccion abilities, along with kidou and techniques like cero that come within a 5 meter radius of him have their reiatsu severely drained. This weakens any such attacks of this sort and adds their reiatsu to Leon, however physical attacks are not affected by this ability.

Bankai Description: Izanami divides into four weapons: a burning black broadsword made of brimstone, a great white bow with poison-tipped arrows, a dual-ended lance made of bone, and a devilish scythe. These four weapons symbolize the four horsemen of famine, death, war, and conquest. They are very useful for adapting to different battle situations.

Can create a target mark on the body of the person targeted by this technique. After being targeted by the mark, all Leon's reiatsu-based attacks like cero or bala will automatically target the marked foe. Leon only needs say the person's name to create the target mark, therefore he can only use this technique on foes whose name he knows.
A 10 meter space of twisted black energy forms around Leon. Any living being that enters this space has their powers extracted from their body and placed in Leon's body for fifteen minutes. This ability has a cooldown of ten minutes after the ability wears off.
Can produce a swarm of flies that spread diseases wherever they go. Those who come within range of the flies and become infected first suffer the effects of vomiting, blurred vision, temporary deafness, and blisters. Five hours after the initial effects the victim begins experiencing severe muscle pains, cold chills, high temperatures, and bleeding pores. Ten hours after the initial effects the victim will experience grand mal seizures, severe headaches, and heart attacks. At this stage the victim may die of several causes affiliated with the disease without proper treatment. Though the number of diseases infecting the victim are difficult to treat, several hours of extensive treatment can heal the victim. However this technique often leaves victims incapacitated for several days while they recover from the effects.
