 Oddity? Perhaps. Marne is not your average Da'Lin. Mostly due to his obvious neutrality for the common Zahina lions. He's not ashamed of this fact, and will readily dismiss anyone who belittles him for his preferences. Horns and claws do not a demon make. If he wishes to place himself in the company of a Zahina, he will do as he pleases.
He's a medicine man of sorts, though this is something he doesn't talk about too much. In his past pride, he had been on a trip away from the pride, and had failed to be there when an epidemic spread and slaughtered his pride from within. He blames himself, and thus hasn't really joined a new pride since.
