 Jared walked through the forest that was his home. His hunting bow in his hand and his Kabar on his shoulder, he stalked a doe that he had been trailing for three hours. "I'm goning to eat good tonight." He thought as he released the string on the bow and sent his arrow flying at the doe. The arrow pierced the does skull and the animal fell to the ground. Jared then made his way to his kill.

Sam heard the deo fall but had walked by to see what was going on but looked around for her wolf.

Jared pulled the arrow from the does head and heard rustling nearby. He stood up and strung another arrow into his bow and aimed it in the direction he heard the shuffling from. "Come out!" he shouted

Sam fell back startled by Jared shout.

Jared lowered his bow and pulled the arrow out of it. "Sorry," he said to the girl who had fallen over as he walked over to her. "I thought you were one of them."

Sam looked at him and sniffed him, "Human," she thought the got up. She looked around seeing that her wolf wasn't there, she sighed.

Sam barked then covered her mouth, "A little," she said moving her hand away as she spoked.

Jared nodded at her, showing her he understood. "My name is Jared." he introduced himself to her as politlely as he could. "Who are you?" Jared asked her.

"Sam," she said looking at him then turn her attendtion to the bushes as a timber wolf came out.

Jared froze as a timber wolf came out of the bushes nearby. He didn't move or make a sound, he barely breathed as he waited for the wolf to react.

The female wolf ran to Sam, Sam smiled and hugged the wolf as she barked happily.

Jared relaxed and slung his bow over his shoulder. "I'm gonna be eating here soon. You and your wolf are more than welcome to join me.... But only if you like." he said and turned back to the doe, only to see it being descended upon by a lone zombie. "Oh no you don't!!!!" he yelled as he ran at the ghoul and kicked it to the ground. After the ghoul had been knocked to the ground, Jared pulled his knife from it's sheathe and impaled the undead being in it's brain and twisted the knife. "Trying to steal my dinner again are ya?" he said as he stood up and cleaned the blade on his sleeve and returned it to the sheathe.

Sam looked to him then looked to the wolf. The wolf nodded and Sam watched him kill the zombie then said, "Yess," she hissed her s knowing her snake friend might be near.
