Well I just watched the majority of all 4 seasons of Blackadder (Would've seen it all except the disk was scratched so I didn't get to see the last 3 episodes of Blackadder goes Forth) I've seen all that season expect for maybe one episode anyway. I had however never seen any of the first season before expect for the scene in the last episode with Mad Gerald. I find it quite amazing how much better the last three seasons are compared to the first one, (In fact the only thing I found entertaining in the whole first season at all was Mad Gerald) Then I realised why. Ben Elton. Damn that guy is a genius. Responsible for some of the funniest shows ever, such as the Young Ones, Some of Mr Bean and The Thin Blue Line.
Anyway I don't really know what else to put here. Just talk about your favourite episodes of some british comedy you saw or something

I love The Young Ones. I read something once that said Neil is the favorite character of all Americans. I don't know if it's true for all Americans, but it is true for me. But Vivian is hilarious, too.
I remember one episode where it was Neil's birthday and he was trying to get everyone/anyone to recognize the fact. Aww, he's so cute and pathetic.

I was watching that episode the other day. That's actually the final episode of the series. It's funny how he comes down and continually says "surprise" and then Mike once he finds out why says "Now you already knew that, and we don't care, so where's the surprise?" Poor Neil.

I love the Young Ones... I dunno who is my favorite... probably Vivian... or SPG "I could murder a curry".
Ah it's been a while since I watched it... but it's so freaking awesome.
Anyone remember "Keeping Up Appearances"? That was about the mother of all snobs. hehehehe xd

How about Monty Python? That counts, doesn't it? I think my favorite skit is Dennis Moore.

Pez Black Monty Python goes without saying. xd Mind if I make a new thread in this subforum for it, then? Ooh, ooh, what about Fawlty Towers? Just can't get enough of John Cleese. I haven't seen a lot of it (we don't get much here in the good ol' US of A), but my favorite so far is the one where the inn inspector is there but Basil thinks a guest is the inspector and vice versa. Hilarity ensues, as usual.

Of course, make as many threads as you want! blaugh Ahhhh Fawlty Towers, I've been meaning to buy the special Box set edition of it ever since it came out, about 5 years ago. hehe I remember that episode. I haven't seen any in a very long time, and I can't remember if I've seen them all either, but that one I do remember. FUN FACT TIME: When asked the reason why The Young Ones only lasted 12 episodes, Alexi Sayle responded, "because that's how many episodes Fawlty Towers went for" blaugh

How about "Are You Being Served?" That was a great show. Mrs. Slocombe and Mr. Humphries always cracked me up.

Kind of related note: Hyacinth from "Keeping Up Appearances" had a small role in To Sir With Love starring Sidney Poitier. That was on TV this weekend. I like that movie.

I've just watched the first two seasons of Red Dwarf. Forgot how damn funny that was. And surprised out how much I hadn't seen before. Don't think I had seen any of the first two seasons. Now if only my video store would get the other seasons in.
