Stephen Fry, wonderful man that he is, wrote a book on writing poetry called "The Ode Less Travelled" (oh, that sparkling wit!). If you're into writing poetry I really recommend it. He stresses the import of meter, he's readable and relateable and it really is very funny. Plus he loves his subject matter and it shows.
