I am a complete music junkie and was just curious to see what the rest of yo listened to. But first, a couple rules
No flaming of other people's music tastes please! It's fine to say you don't like a certain singer/band/album/genre but there's a line between disliking and flaming. Don't cross it.
No posting of lyrics, it's just annoying.
No posting of images that stretch the page.

I'm pretty much a metal fan. Not that I've really listened to it all that long, but I've settled myself into the fan base pretty nicely. Among my favourites are: Rhapsody, Helloween, Andromeda, Elis and Iced Earth. Power metal does pwn my soul.
I also have a taste for bands that are out of the norm or just plain little known bands. I've loved Cibo Matto for years, and I listen to Bjork and Weird Al Yankovick. But few groups can live up to the greatness of The Barenaked Ladies and The Arrogant Worms. "If I had a Million Dollars" (BNL) and "Last Saskatchewan Pirate" (AW) are probably 2 of the most well known songs around here.
And then for lesser known groups. Four Star Mary was my favourite group for YEARS. They're an independant group from L.A.. I leanred about them from the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". For the fans of the series Four Star Mary did all the music for Dingoes Ate My Baby and later preformed on the series. Veruca Salt was another favourite for ages. I really know nothing about the band other than they have 3 albums. ^^V But they're very addicting, the more I listened to them the more I loved them. Ehh, I still love them it's just that my metal's taken over pretty much.

Anyway.
I don't classify what I listen to. I don't like too since I have a wide range of music tastes.
To me, if I like the sound, I'll listen to it. My playlist is so diverse, it's hard to pick and chose a genre.
Though most of my music is mainstream XD;
My favorite bands out of the once I listen to would have to be;
+Linkin Park <3
+Misfits
+Horrorpops
+Breaking Benjamin
+Green Day
+AFI <3
+Weiss Kreuz(Yes they are a band XP)
And so on.
But other than those listed, you can find anyone from Aaron Carter, to Eminem, to Rammstien.

I listen to EVERYTHING, though I have a strong affinity to hardcore and metal. I just love headbanging music <3 Screaming, growling, opera...I love it all. Emo, punk, J-pop/rock, and techno are high on the list, too~ Korean music is okay...it just seems too influenced by American culture sometimes.
The only type of music that I truly hate is COUNTRY. Play it and my ears will bleed from pain. I have lots of friends who do like country, though. They've learned not to play it around me ^_^ I don't really like rap either, but it's nice music to dance to. Just as long as I can't hear the lyrics xD
My favorite bands/singers: Se7en, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Iced Earth, Pansy Division (OMG I LOVE QUEERCORE XD), Coheed and Cambria, Elis, Crash, Adema, Atreyu, Demon Hunter, Zao, Underoath, and Unearth. There's more, but these are like the top *counts* 13.
I like Britney Spears. Her music is quite addicting. She may be a slut but at least she's a HOT slut, right? biggrin

The majority of the music I listen to is Japanese, either j-pop/j-rock or stuff from anime. The English bands listed up there is pretty much the only non Japanese music I listen to sweatdrop

I tend to not listen to American or Candian music. No offense to anyone, but most of it sucks. Especially when it comes to metal. x_x A lot of what I listen to now comes from Scandinavia, Germany and Italy.
I have this obsession with the song "Yuuyami Suicide" by Pierrot. They pwn.
I really do listen to stuff from all over the music spectrum though. But primarily I stick to little known stuff and metal. I own everything from B*witched to Alice Cooper to Treble Charger to Enya to Children of Bodom.
I used to be so obsessed with B*witched. =D I was comp[letely obsessed with one of the members, but I can't remember which one anymore. Err, actually... looking through my CDs now I remember that it was Sinead. >.> I thought she was pretty... Nya she's actually pretty hot now that I look at her >.>

uhm yeah i listen to almost anything too ^^ But mainly to:
* HIM
* Linkin Park
* Lost Prophets
* Green Day
* A.F.I.
* BSB
* Intwine (dutch band and my latest obsession. I loved cruell man *.* Really need to get the album T.T the irony is that the lead singer actually comes from idols or at least did. He stepped out when he reached the last 10 cause he didn't want to sign the contract they had to because that would mean he wouldn't be able to continue with his band if he won or something like that and he went with his band and now every idol from that season is like gone and he is very succesfull XD Gotta love it.)
Other then that I love listening to the Anime radio thingies on winamp. Wow I don't know any of the bands you mentioned Animeandraia O_O;

Wow I don't know any of the bands you mentioned Animeandraia O_O; Bawhaw, that's because I listen to so many obscure bands. I used to listen to a lot of mainstream, but then I grew out of that. I still have some small bits of those years... such as my Steps, Tal Bachman, and B*Witched CDs. I used to be really big into Treble Charger (they sound sort of like Greenday and Sum 41, but they're the original and put on decent live shows [unlike Sum 41]), Garbage, The Tea Party, Creed and No Doubt. Well, I only liked No Doubt's stuff tat was Return of Saturn and before, eventhough Return of Saturn was still ab it iffy in my books. I have a scary CD collection though and could go on about music for eons. x_X So If I'm ever rambing too much just tell me and I'll stop. Or something...

Bubblegum music gets to me soo much. But sometimes one song is good.

Good Charlotte-I like the new CD, reminds me of Nightmare before Christmas. XP
Motion City Soundtrack- an Emo band. My friend got me hooked on some of it. ^___^
Eminem- he's got this weird vibe and it's funny. Eheh. I love Mockingbird.
Lost Prophets- I love them too! My other other friend (O__o) gave me Last Train Home and I was hooked. biggrin
Honourable Mention:
Blindside-pretty good. I like Shekina and Roads.
From First to Last-Emily is good
Trebel Charger-used to be big on them too, I have Detox and I used to listen to it ALL the time. ^_^
Utada Hikari-from my other friend. I like JPN music. its good.
Lots of these are from my friend who has a DJ nephew so he sends her different stuff. It's cool.
Most of the stuff is like metal and emo and the like. I'm not much on Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and all them.

I used to LOVE Treble Charger (as I think I said before). But the album I really liked was Wide Awake Bored. Didn't like Detox at all. ^^V The song "American Psycho" was what got me into them. Man, I still love that song.
I remember this one time I was watching this charity concert that was raising money for the Tsunami victims I heard Sum 41 play live. Before they were playing my mum said something like "They have a really nice song that I hear on the radio. It reminds me of that band you really like..." And I was like "Treble Charger...?". And then she asked me why Id din't like them since they sounded so similar and I just wanted tos scream "Because they sound like a rip off." and then we heard them live and my uncle wondered if we could phone in a donation to bribe them to get Sum 41 off stage. No offense to those that like them, but the singer is just God awful live. He was trying so hard to be hardcore, but failing.
Nya I've fallen completely in love with Iced Earth. I blame you Ja. >.> and OSI is another group I adore. It's made up of members of different bands that got together and made a CD. It's sort of instrumental/rock/progressive/experimental. Very fun.
