I got bored and started researching TNA recently and to many of you my findings will be "no duh" but I felt like sharing my thoughts on it. Eric Bischoff and Hogan have decided that TNA will only push stars that were established before they came to TNA because "established stars are what the fans want to see". Any homegrown talent in TNA will never reach higher than midcard where as anyone coming in from WWE will basically debut as a main event star. Further research found that fans have quit caring about TNA. The common mindset is "it is what it is" many online fangroups now only watch Impact just for something to complain about. (Kinda sad when you think about it) Many have stated that if something more worth watching were to come on at the same time as Impact they would watch that and DVR Impact just so they could fast forward through boring segments. One page stated that 90% of the Impact viewers only DVR Impact or quit watching all together. When this info was given to Bischoff in an interview he stated that "we give the fans what they want".

After reading all of this I'm left asking: If you lost 9 out of every 10 viewers how are you giving the fans what they want? What fans exactly is TNA catering to? In the midst of all this failure, how does TNA say that they are successful?

Needless to say I've stopped watching Impact completely.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I'm the only one who still has a thread of hope for TNA. I know it's bad (******** awful) but I just want to hold on to a small glimmer of hope. But even that is wearing thin.

I'm not surprised...to say that Hogan and Bischoff are out of the loop is a vast understatement. They're booking like it's the 90s...and audiences have changed greatly since then.

Just give them the equivilent of the WWE Attitude Era and ratings will shoot through the roof... allegedly. blaugh

In seriousness, Ric Flair needs to stay out of the ring. He can help boost younger stars without being in the ring. When they showcase their talent that they got, they can be good, MCMG, Styles and Joe can prove this. I think they need to find a way to push their own talent, while still using "Free Agent" acquisitions well.

Yeah, Hardy can be in the Main Event, but make him seem like he earned it. RVD as champ? Sure. Just make it seem more natural and convincing than just "Show up, #1 contender's match, title"
