I don't know that "teach" is the correct word for the purpose of this guild. We are as much here to learn about our fellow martial artists as we are about the martial arts, and to study the methods and philosophy of the arts. That said, your teaching on such things is more than welcome here!

I'm a student of Karate (Brown/Black Belt), but I'm also an assistant instructor at my dojo...I take a class at my dojo called CIT (Certified Instructor Training) which is where we learn how to properly teach a class...I would say to check out a guy named Roland Osborne...We get alot of our teaching methods from him...I hope this helps...
Quick question if I may, Hydrashan1111...Your style of Karate does not teach weapons?
The complete translation of Karate is Empty Hand, Kara meaning hand and Te meaning Hand so as you said it does mean empty hand, but my system still teaches both weapons and how to defend yourself with or without a weapon...Weapons are just an extension of the hand so anything you can do just with your hands, you can use with a weapon as well...

We acutally don't teach within the guild (kinda hard to show anyone every little detail of a technique with words alone) ... but we basically have discussions ... compare notes ... debate ... ask questions about a certain aspect ... stuff like that ...

lol maybe if you live near one of us .... not so much teaching as sparring. But as far as I can tell this is an exchange of minute differences between various styles and a place to show your love for martial arts of any kind smile
