Now that the English version of the game is out, it's probably time for a topic to discuss the game without spoiling it for others who might now have it yet. But please, still white out any spoilers from the game for now, as a courtesy to people who may come in later and not have played as far into the game.
So, I'm going to kick this baby off by explaining what apparently happened to our previous heroes: Oh, and THESE ARE OBVIOUSLY SPOILERS. > - Isaac and Garet live in the Goma Range, observing Mount Aleph and keeping an eye out for trouble. They both have 16 year old sons, Matthew and Tyrell. - Jenna lives in Kalay, where some of the other residents of Vale moved. Matthew is her son. - Felix left his homeland and hasn't been seen since, according to his encyclopedia entry. It's not stated when he left, or where he was going. - Sheba is not mentioned over the course of the story at all. Her encyclopedia entry is gained automatically when you find the third Sun Saga book, and offers no new info on where she is, or what she's doing. - Ivan lives in Kalay, and is the creator of the soarwing. His daughter is Karis. - Mia is living in Imil, if a book I found in Kolima is to be believed. She has two children: her son, Rief, and her daughter, Nowell, who are both apprentices to Kraden. - Piers has been travelling the world in his ship. He does a lot of string pulling behind the scenes in Dark Dawn, though you never actually see him...
I should probably also mention that our former heroes now age rather slowly, thanks to exposure to the power of the Golden Sun, to the point that their own children will one day grow older than them.<

OK, I've been playing this game nonstop since tuesday, and I've run into a problem. This isn't really a spoiler or anything, but... I'm stuck. And every walkthrough/guide I have seen is at least a day or two behind where I am. Is there any website that has a completed guide?
And not to be specific, but I'm currently at this moment in the dungeon right after you get your eighth party member.
So yea. How goes it with the gaming?

Ok, ignore my last post because I beat the game several hours ago.... granted I missed every summon tablet except Eclipse and a few dijinn... but I can always go back and get those.
When the internet finally supplies me with a complete guide on this game! >Oh, and the game directly hints at a Golden Sun 4. So here we go again. And why does Alex keep deluding me at the end of every game?!

Ayame_Rikimayu >Oh, and the game directly hints at a Golden Sun 4. So here we go again. And why does Alex keep deluding me at the end of every game?! There's a lot of things in the game that suggest a Golden Sun 4. Nowell sailing off with Piers, and Kraden hinting that they might be going somewhere dangerous, Takeru leaving Yamata after Himi prophecised that Isaac was in danger - and I got the impression he left on Piers' ship as well. And Kraden never DID say what he and Nowell were up to that took him so long to get to Belinsk... I think that these things will be addressed in the next game. We'll probably begin the game with new characters. I'm not sure whether we'll have 8 completely new characters, or whether we'll have Nowell, Takeru, and 2 others, and meet up with Matthew, Karis, Tyrell, and Rief later though...<

Okay, so... >Amiti = Spawn of Alex? Tret said he's probably related to Mia so since we now know Alex is Mia's cousin (based on the Encyclopedia), that indicates to me that Amiti is Alex's son. (Also, lulz at the Alex/Mia fics that are now semi-incestual.)
Also, just curious, has anyone found any forgeable items other than Quality Zol, Orihalcon, and Mythril Silver? If that's all there is, I'm going to be so bummed... I really liked the forging and the variety of forgeable items in TLA. I'm 23 hours in looking for Umbra Gear at the moment so there's possibly materials I haven't found yet...

Oh goddammit. gonk
>So, I couldn't help but look in a Djinn FAQ and find out that I missed one. (And a summon tablet too.) I'm just wondering, is there an "Anemos Sanctum" type place later? Where you can't be granted entry unless you have every single Djinn?
...Because I don't want to look up a full FAQ and run into ending spoilers. lol But if the above is true, then that just spells "restart" for me... For the record, I'm some time after the point I've gotten Eoleo in my party.

Some people have been trying to say it's Piers, but it's definitely Alex. Reasons being: 1. Tret suggests that Amiti is a relative of Mia's. Alex is Mia's cousin. 2. In Tonfon, Kraden doesn't tell the characters who "Arcanus" really is, and Rief and Karis suggest that it's because "Arcanus" is an adept, and therefore might be related to one of them, and it would be hard to fight against someone you were related to. 3. If you speak to the man in the throne room after you get the Red Orb from Unan, he says something like: "Didn't you visit the Emperor before? Why aren't you wearing your mask this time?" suggesting that one of your party members looks like Alex.< Cowpuppy Azura Cantarella Oh goddammit. gonk

Don't get me wrong, I thought the game was solid and very enjoyable, and I was so sad when it was over and there was nothing left to do but make sure there were no chests I missed. But the lack of new weapons and armor irked me, not to mention it just doesn't make sense. The Sol Blade isn't a thing I'd think there would be more than one of, and I can't fathom how Isaac/Felix would have gotten the thing to the top of the Apollo Tower. I also thought the puzzles could have been more challenging. And my last complaint was that we didn't get to know Himi very well before the game was all over.<
2) Thought so! I almost wish there had been more exposition on that little tidbit... could have made for some excellent drama. > Maybe in Golden Sun 4? xD

2) Thought so! I almost wish there had been more exposition on that little tidbit... could have made for some excellent drama. > Maybe in Golden Sun 4? xD I'm not really concerned about the Sol Blade being recycled as a weapon. I agree that you would think there would be only one Sol Blade, but this is an entirely new game, and there's nothing to say that Isaac or Felix ever owned the Sol Blade in the first place, since it doesn't play an important role story-wise in TLA as it does in DD. (Though I've always canonically considered the Sol Blade belonging to Felix.) But, I won't be real pleased if they have another Sol Blade as the most powerful weapon in the next game. IMO, they should have a Wheat Sword Luna Blade instead, that would be cool. Though, I can't see an Earth Adept wielding a Luna Blade, since Luna is typically associated with the cooler elements, so it would make more sense for a Wind or Water Adept to wield it. But all the main characters have been Earth Adepts so far, and the most powerful weapon MUST belong to the main character... So maybe there won't be a Luna Blade... sad
And yes, I agree. Himi should've gotten more time. She should've been introduced earlier, or they should've given her a larger speaking role in the cutscenes. She never really got a personality... I still like using her in battle though.
Yes, drama. I can see it now... Alex: Kraden never told you what happened to your father. Amiti: He told me enough! He told me you killed him! Alex: No, I am your father. Amiti: No! No! That's not true! That's impossible! Alex: Search your feelings, you know it to be true! Amiti: NOOOOOO! /obligatory Star Wars reference.<

Thank you! That puts me at ease, now I'll just play through to the end and start another for 100% completion. :3
>Y'know, I was never really surprised about Kraden still being alive...but Nyunpa and Obaba really threw me for a loop. Okay...I guess Nyunpa makes sense because being frozen in stone like that must've put his aging on hold...but what the hell is Obaba's excuse?! 0.o;;;; So, the Ankohl possibly have extended lifespans? Naturally?
And on the subject of those being involved in the Golden Sun Event...Jenna's parents and Isaac's dad were there too, right? So I wonder if they age slowly as well...
And...call me a wimp, but revisiting the cities that you can under the eclipse's shadow is...some kind of nightmare fuel for me. Decaying corpses, Mind Read for the freaking dead, the depressing music... Just...man, it actually gives me an unsettling feeling. o-o;;;; Obaba. Why do you gotta be so stubborn like that. Get the hell away from there. ;A;
And I feel quite sorry for Amiti, what with Arcanus Alex most likely being his dad and all. Born just to be a pawn in a scheme. I hope the kid never realizes that. I just wanna hug him. ;_; Alex, you b*****d, that is like an all new low.<

>Yeah, I just went around to see how the cities are faring under the eclipse. Passaj is the only place that's not overrun with corpses.
And if you went to Tonfon and gave the grandmother's gift to the girl, she will give you something to give back to her grandma. Mind you, Kaocho is under the eclipse. So when you go in, there are dead bodies EVERYWHERE. And if you Spirit Sense all of them, you'll eventually find the grandma next to her husband, and when you give them the gift, their spirits will come out of their bodies and actually talk to you. It scared the living crap out of me when I saw that. Yeah. There's my warning of the day.
And apparently, a few soldiers died getting the children into the palace, but it's locked from the inside. Anyone know if you can get inside? I just wanna see.
Yeah, this game definitely has topped it for the most depressing thing I've ever seen all year. I feel bad for any newcomer to the series who plays this. I know I feel bad for myself.<
