MERRY CHRISTMAS!
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled"
Joyful, all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With the angelic host proclaim:
"Christ is born in Bethlehem"

Day 24
"..and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto Him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh."
(Matthew 2:11b)
The Three Gifts Presented To Our Savior, Lord and King!
The gift of gold was given to Jesus to symbolize that He was God in the flesh.
The gift of frankincense given to the Christ Child symbolized His holiness, His purity, His willingness to freely and wholly give Himself up as a burnt offering.
Just as frankincense is gathered by cutting the bark of a tree, the Lord was broken upon a tree – the cross – that we might share in this gift.
Myrrh symbolizes suffering, trials, tribulations, and afflictions.
Jesus never escaped the myrrh, the persecutions, throughout His entire life. No one has suffered more unjustly than He. And just as He was given the gift of myrrh by Wise Men, so we too, along with the gift of gold (salvation), and the gift of frankincense (holiness), are to receive the gift of myrrh (suffering) from the hand of the Lord, the wisest of men
Day 23
"When they saw the Star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house,
they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down, and worshipped Him:"

The Lord Jesus Christ Is Worthy of Our Worship!
"Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness."

This years "Christmas Is About Jesus!" Countdown To Christmas Event is open to EVERYONE!
This event will be Christ centered in celebrating His Miraculous and Holy Birth! If you wish to send gifts to eachother throughout the event that's great, but is not at all required to participate.
A short devotion and verses from Gods Holy Word will be posted each day of Advent and we encourage you all to post and express the JOY that Christ Jesus brings to each of your lives this season and throughout the year!
