For hundreds of years the Avatar has kept the balance, in our world and in the spirit world. Every avatar has accomplished this, from the very first avatar to Korra, but keeping the balance in the spirit world is especially tricky. There have been times when the spirits have come to our world to cause trouble, such as Koh stealing the face of Kuruk's love, or Hei Bai destorying a village out of anger, but nothing so great as in Yangchen's time, over four hundred years ago....
Avatar Yangchen has been keeping the world in balance thanks to her determination and wisdom, but the unrest she feels in the spirit world disturbes her, but she can find nothing wrong. She was in the Fire Nation when it happened. She had just settles a few minor skirmishes between the firebenders and waterbenders. She was meditating when an agitated spirit came to her. "Koh is coming to this world!" he said in a panic along with several jumbles explaination. After Yangcen calm him he explained more clearly. Koh was gathering all his follower and the bad spirits, and was coming to the human the cause panic and destruction for his own pleasure. He thought thing in both world have been boring and he thought he'd have some fun and add a few faces to his collection.
Now it is up to Yangchen and her followers to help save the world before Koh turned it into chaos.

Bio: Yangchen was born and raised in the Western Air Temple. She is so respected as an Avatar that two statues are made of her: one in the Eastern Air Temple and one in the Western Air Temple.
Personality: Yangchen is a very wise and powerful. She is completely dedicated to her avatar duty that she'll willing to do whatever it takes to keep the balance.
Fighting Style/Bending Ability: Bender of all elements. Very powerful.

Personality: Like her mother, she can be sarcastic and master of Earth bending with a slight move of metal bending. Don't make her mad by calling her "teehee" or you'll be burried underground by her earthbending.

(Uhh, a point to the above...ARENT WE LIKE 500 SOMETHING YEARS BEFORE AANNG? Ooh! Unless you do the Time Warp. That's pretty cool. OMG POSTING NOW.)
With an expression like steeled ice, Yuan proceeded through the chilly halls of the Eastern Air Temple.
Winter had come to this part of the world, evident by the warmer tunics and head-scarves wrapped around the bared heads of some of the young nuns. If one had not seen Yuan's unmoving expression first, there would have been a pleasant look going on for her, soft white clothes and a lush head of hair. Yuan was one of the youngest here, save for orphaned children taking refuge in the warmer rooms.
"Avatar Yangchen will see you prior to afternoon prayers," bowed Yuan's escort. Yuan inclined her head to show she'd heard, and she was left alone to look out over the view.
Unlike the sky-like palaces of the other Air Temples, this was a more grounded one, the base and walls carved from the cliffside. It was simpler, more subtle and quiet as it listened for the voices of the wind passing through the gorge. Yuan sat on a pillow with other young girls, not meditating but listening.
If Koh had taken the bait....she would hear it.

It would be cool to have a time warp avatar rp, but I think it would nee a different storyline. I might do that... or you could if you wanted. I don't know if I could do it. I've been so busy....))
Yangchen sat in her quarters going over the resent events in her mind as she metitated. She'd tried to face Koh directly the minute she'd found out, but that had not worked. Unfortuately, he had cleverly slipped her grasp while she had her hands full with his followers. She knew now that she couldn't do this you alone. She needed a team, but not just any team. But who could she find to help her fight the spirits? She'd been too busy to make personal relationships with many people, and the few she did would not be able to help. Maybe this visitor would provide the answer she needed.

"Avatar Yangchen will see you now."
Perhaps it was the suspicion of the Air Nomad Elders that had kept her away for so long, but in her sixteen years Yuan had been kept away from the Avatar, when she alone could wield the unique spiritual powers they could.
She entered the room where young nuns were quietly leaving, Yangchen left alone on the orange silk cushion of her prayer seat. The smooth crown of her head was shaved off cleanly, leaving olive skin and the familiar arrows of a master Airbender.
"Avatar Yangchen, Lady Yuan."
Yuan made a bow. Her spine twinged slightly from the unaccustomed act, but to earn aide in her quest she would need to be docile and humble. But she was used to being given what she wanted and was used to using her power to get there.
"Please excuse me for interrupting your daily regime." Yuan apologized quietly. "But have a future victory in my hands that I think you would be interested in."

Yangchen motioned the girl to sit. She was curious as to what the girl meant by daily regement. What had the monk told the girl. She'd only been here two days. "What is plan you have." she said, keeping her face carefully controled.

Whilst Yuan and Avatar Yangchen had this conversation, Sayona walked the dusty path towards the eastern Air Temple. She carried nothing but a small backpack and had an Armadillo-wolf as a friend that had been accompanying her since she saved it from a hunter's trap.
"You don't need to thank me," Sayona said, looking down on the amber-furred animal, "You can leave you know."
The Armadillo-wolf shook his head and sneezed.
"I don't need your germs either," Sayona added.
She thought back to her home so far away at the Northern Water Tribe. But there was trouble back there, she could feel it. Ever since her brother had grown more mysterious and, consequently, darker in a way, Sayona had battled with the thought that something evil was arising. She sought permission from the Council to seek the Avatar's thoughts on the matter and report back.
"It's a dangerous mission, Sayona," Sayona imitated Elder Haki's voice, "You could die!"
The Armadillo-wolf barked at her. Sayona rolled her eyes.
"I'm just mocking him. You don't even know him!"

Yuan pulled a thick scroll from her voluminous robes. "I believe you recall this being?"
She let it roll open. Inside was a painted mural, and while beautifully recreated, the being within was monstrous. He was as long as a sea serpent, with many clicking legs that writhed and clattered. A face smooth and expressioness was attached to the head...if you could call it that.
"Koh the Face-Stealer." Yuan said quietly. "So far he has collected over 200 faces...and I sense he is stealing more as we speak. I have studied his every move, how he goes about his business, even his origins." She rolled the scroll back up and tucked it away."
"Avatar...if you agree to assist me, then I think we are capable of sealing him into the Spirit World...where he belongs. You may not expect this but it requires his presence." Yuan was busy lighting a stick of incense at a ill-blown wind, letting the smell of myrrh wash over her soothingly. "The balance has shifted...and pieces of the Spirit World are warping with the Human World. Heibai I'm afraid has already become attatched."

Sayona reached the base of the Eastern Air Temple. She reached her head back to try to encompass the whole temple. She failed in doing so. The Armadillo-wolf barked then began to growl at nothing. Sayona rolled her eyes.
"Don't worry Cane, the air isn't a threat to anyone," she said and patted the dog on the head. The wolf looked up at her quizically. Sayona shrugged. "I gotta call you something."
The trees behind the duo began to shake and a larger growling sound filled the air. Cane barked louder and competed with the sound. A giant monster spilled from the trees, baring its gleaming teeth and thrashing about its four arms. Sayona screamed.
"It's a Spirit world Monster!" she exclaimed and proceeded to run up the steep path with her companion.

Yuan turned towards the screams and commotion. For the barest hint of a moment, a flash of triumph streaked across her face. But it was quickly replaced by icy indifference as she swiftly left the room with Yangchen in a tow.
Koh was there already, face to face with a limp figure that looked like one of the nuns. Yuan however, knew better.
"Cover your faces everyone!" she shouted clearly, as a wave of nuns began to clap their hands over their faces, ducking away from Koh. An armadillo-wolf, unable to do much, rolled up into a ball trying to canter away. "And put that down Koh," she answered with a stony face and a icy voice, "It's only wax."
Koh dropped it, clearly amused with his white mask. The dummy fizzled slightly before turning into ruined wax, the orange smeared off as a sprig of thorny blossoms was seen stuck into its chest.
'
"Jijaba blossoms...clever my little statue," crooned Koh, mocking Yuan's immobile face, "My favorite scent to lead me to my favorite seer..."
