Each member had come from solid households of working-class parents that encouraged music to be played. Martin, the eldest of five, began playing the piano as a young child. He started playing in bands around age 15 and sought solace in the words of Tom Waits. Buckland, on the other hand, was into the heavy guitar work of Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix and was playing guitar by age 11. Scotland native Berryman was into funk instead of indie rock, therefore leaving him to play bass. The multi-instrumentalist, Champion, didn't plan to be a drummer until he joined Coldplay. He favored playing guitar, bass, and the tin whistle, but caught on to playing percussion when the band became official read full bio here

yeah I like Coldplay, not a massive fan though.
I have two of their albums (dunno how many they've released) but I don't listen to them very often
I love The Scientist, Clocks, Trouble and Yellow

I have two of their albums (dunno how many they've released) but I don't listen to them very often
I love The Scientist, Clocks, Trouble and Yellow Yellows a brilliant song. As far as i know they only have released two albums. Parachutes and A rush of blood to the head, both are really good.

MyokoMai The scientist makes me cry. me too. it's such a great song and so sad. i voted for The Scientist but i wish i could've voted for Yellow as well cos that song's really good too. biggrin

I'm not a big fan of Coldplay. However... My brother's fiance loves them. I borrowed this mix cd of theirs and it had on it the song Green Eyes. I have fallen in love with that particular song.
