Well this thread can be for Poetry. You can post as many poems as you like, any style. Just whatever you do, don't steal other people's work. people work hard to put words on a page, and each poem is like a piece of themselves. To steal their poetry is to steal a part of them, so please please PLEASE don't steal any poetry that people may post in this thread. Thank you!

I guess I will start... It's just a silly Christmas poem I wrote today
Christmas trees and holiday greetings, No more worries about important meetings. The holidays bring cheer all around, As snow falls without out a sound. In the hearth crackles a fire, And all month long the children conspire. On Christmas night they all stay up, And keep an eye on the milk in the cup. When Santa comes they'll all shout Hooray! And open their presents on Christmas day.

At least you rhyme. I can't rhyme, even if my life depended on it.

Why is the sky blue on a sunny day? Because the clouds haven't come to play. Why does rain dance across the land? So it can mix with ocean sand. Why do oceans toss and turn? Because for the land, they do yearn. Why can't rainbows shine at night? Because there is no sunlight. So why is the sky blue on a sunny day? Because the clouds haven't come to play.

Chalk in my hand. Smoothing my fingers and denigration away, coating my feet between my toes, I press too hard and wind blows in my nostrils in my nose in my lungs, it almost snows I koff and hack that dusty taste, settles on my tongue. Smooth and chalky.

Have you ever felt The want to be someone’s Friend? Have you ever Wanted to talk to them, Laugh with them, And share good moments? Sure, You all have. But has there been a time, When your luck Runs out?
There is that One person Who pulls you In like no other, The one you want To be friends with. There is no romantic interest, Or even a reason to Want to be their friend. You just have This feeling Inside you and you want To be with them, Beside them, So badly. You often talk with them, And put yourself forward, Chatting and such. You see them in the hallway, Like usual, And as usual, They never say Hi. You never stopped to wonder Why is it That no matter how hard You try, You never get closer.
When you see them You smile widely And raise a hand, Greeting them. Maybe they were Previously talking to someone, For they look surprised, And without controlling their expression, Their eyes glint With an odd light. They turn to you, Which is when you notice, They’re annoyed by you. Suddenly, Everything makes sense. Every time You spoke out To them, Every time, You tried To talk to them, You realize sickeningly, They don’t like you. You will never be friends.
Even after you realize this, The next time you see them, You can’t help the smile That flies to your face, Nor the quickening Of your steps To catch up. When you near, You remember, And your hand, Outstretched halfway, Falls. You are falling, Falling Falling Falling. Your steps stop, Your body goes still And everything Is quiet In your world. Because you are Falling Falling Falling Away from the world. Your head faces the ground, And everything Is a blur. Your hand rests By your side And you stare it, Clenching your fist To fight back tears. You raise your head And watch them walk away, Knowing, No matter how hard You try, And no matter how friendly You are, They will not like you. You have never felt Like such a nuisance. Your dreams Of a good friendship, So sought out by yourself That it even surprised you, Are gone.
(my poem was pure emotion, no rhyming haha. Poems don't have to rhyme)

I'm not terribly talented when it comes to literacy on the poetry front, but hey.~ It's just an outlet for me. This is probably one of the few pieces I've done without a rhyme scheme, it has a bit of a rhythm though.
Rotting, it appears that everyone around me is rotting, Not physically, not mentally, they're all just rotting. Doesn't anyone realise what they're doing to themselves? This is so stupid, it's such a waste, they're killing one another like rabid dogs.
Rotting, they're all rotting, In the pits of themselves. Drinking their wine and taking their time, Biding all the drugs they swallow.
They know wholeheartedly how this shall end, The sad realisation of one's self as the fumes whisp upon the tongue, Is that a good feeling, mister man? The feeling of disgrace? Does it make you feel alive? Less even, how does it taste?
Why can't they turn themselves around before it's too late? I mean, it's not like there isn't help for them, regardless of how they feel. There's always someone out there, who's praying and hoping for their adoration. They want them to be better, yet they're so ignorant, leaving them be.
Rotting, they're all rotting. Wasting away like nothing. At the end of the day, I'm happy, glad even. Glad that who's rotting is not me.
