Where are we going Lucile? The lemur perched on his partner's back, tiny paws dug into the patched lioness' fur. Despite Lucile's presence he wasn't entirely comfortable out in the open. He tucked himself down against her back, inwardly hoping to be invisible.
"Ghiki, you'll survive, trust me." Lucile winced as the lemur pulled at her fur. "Besides your hungry aren't you?"
No.... He was betrayed by his stomach grumbling. ...a little maybe.
"I know a nice place where we can both get something we like. It's nice and safe too. I promise." Lucy sped up her pace, eager to reach their destination and get the clinging lemur off her back for a while.
Ghiki sniffed. Trust her? That usually meant trouble. He clung tighter to the lioness' neck so he didn't go tumbling off as she ran.
Lucy headed to a favorite spot from her childhood hunting grounds. It was a place near a smaller watering hole, with a few trees and other plant life as well as small creatures about. "Well, here we are!"
Ghiki peeked curiously over Lucy's shoulder. Well, Lucile, this isn't so bad after all.

With a low grumble, the lioness' stomach voiced its opinion. It was time for food. Now. Rolling her crystal blue eyes, Airi stumbled to her paws. "Simba was right! You really are a silly habit." She scolded her stomach gently with a good-natured flick of her tail. Come to think of it, it had been ages since she'd seen the odd old lion. Where was he? How was he doing? He owed her an elephant hunt, he did! A deep purr rose within her throat as she remembered the good times she'd had as a cub.
After another protest from her belly, she stuck her tongue out at it slightly. "Alright, alright. You'll get your way." Half-walking, half-skipping out of her den, she paused to sniff the air. No prey near here. Where to go? A flash of color out of the corner of her eye distracted her. Butterfly! She crouched down, waggling her hips from side to side in anticipation. She placed one foot forward after another, slowly getting closer and closer. With an explosion of power, she leaped forwards, her body arching not-so-gracefully through the air. She landed clumsily, her paws just missing the small creature.
"Oomph." The air was driven out of her lungs from the impact. Her blue gaze followed the butterfly as it rose up, fluttering its wings lightly. Where was it going? Intense curiosity shot through her, an eager buzzing resounding deep within her. Time to follow it! Leaping up from the ground, she kept her head twisted upwards, eyes never straying from the dancing flash of red as she began to trot after it, just waiting for it to fly low enough to be within pouncing range again.

The lemur lept off the patched lioness' back and set about searching for a nice leafy snack. 'Don't venture too far, Lucile.' He chided her before bounding off to inspect more plant life, nothing close was to his taste. Soon enough he was out of sight.
"I won't." Lucy rolled her eyes. Now who was running off? Ghiki could be such a pain sometimes, but at least now he wasn't clinging to her like a bug. "Now to find something for myself."
The lioness headed off into the tall grass with the hopes of finding some kind of small prey. She crouched low in the grass, sniffing the air. Something was nearby! The grass just ahead of Lucy rustled and her gaze snapped to that spot. Aha! Her muscles tensed and she lept forward hastily, attempting to pounce the creature only to fall short startling it and off it went.
"Darnit." The patched lioness' stomach rumbled in response. She sighed. "Yeah, yeah..."
Meanwhile Ghiki was having much better luck with his own meal, he sat happily munching on the leafy goodies he had manage to collect. He didn't think much of the butterfly fluttering idly by, but the lioness following it seeming rather entranced was another matter. 'May want to watch where your going. Wouldn't want to walk into a tree.'

Red wings flashed left and right as the lioness' feet danced an intricate dance in an effort to keep up with them. Butterfly! Butterfly! Though Airi had grown up not so long ago, she had managed to retain her cub-like attributes. The only real difference was that her clumsiness wasn't because of her big paws and huge tail anymore, but was simply because her paws tended to be a few steps ahead of her brain and so often got muddled up, causing her to trip.
Her blue eyes were locked on her target as she flitted after the small creature. She could see nothing but the movement, a flash of alien color in the familiar blue sky. But that also meant she was completely and utterly oblivious to her surroundings. Including the massive...
"Oomph!" With a thud, Airi's jaw hit the ground for a second time as her paws flew out from underneath her. Her face ached with pain, but she bit back the stinging tears. She'd never shown any fear or pain in her life! "You're a mean tree root." She huffed, picking herself up again. Well... look on the bright side. She hadn't crashed into the trunk. But she'd lost sight of her flying quarry.

'My my. Are you alright?' Ghiki finished off the last of his leaves before speaking, after all it is impolite to talk with one's mouth full. He eyed the lioness from his present spot, she seemed safe enough but the lemur tended to be overly cautious. She exhibited no outward signs of being a Da'Lin, nor did this lady seem to have the temperament.
Perhaps it was safe after all. The lemur edged his way slowly toward the lioness.
