Orestes found Nyxie charming, even in her little bout of despair. It seemed her sadness stemmed from her mate being going to who knows where. Hopefully he could ease that sadness even for just a little while. After all, such a lovely lady shouldn't have any reason to be sad.
So the pair had set off on an adventure of sorts, with no real destination. They had been on the move for much of today and thought it a nice place to rest when they came across a small cave. It would keep the heat of the sun for a while before they continued on their way.
"Having fun so far, Nyxie?" Orestes settled himself beside the lioness and stretching out a bit to get comfortable.

The female had been enjoying the company. She always had enjoyed being around others.. and as it was, this masculine bit of company was enough to have her completely forgetting of her despair. Caelen had flirted with other females.. he had done his best to hide it but she had seen it. Maybe thats where he had gone. To another little female who had won his heart like she had. He had been everything to her but she was a jealous girl. She just couldnt help herself.
"I am indeed." She purred, stretching next to him and rolling onto her back to kick into the air. Her tail flicked side to side and she yawned before looking back at the male that she had decided to explore with for the time being.
"So tell me..Dont you have a pretty female missing you at home?"

"Glad your having fun..." Orestes yawned widely, keenly aware at the moment of how much being in the sun tired one out. "...and no, I don't have anyone like that. Unless you count family." They weren't all blood family, but it never mattered where he came from. Everyone you lived with was family regardless.
"One day maybe, if I can find someone." He glanced sideways at Nyxie. The structure of his family was difficult to explain to outsiders, some were intrigued and others were appalled by the concept.
"It puzzles me why someone would leave a treasure like you behind."
