Today my lovely wife took the kiddo out to see Chicken little.
The sound of the movie was so loud that he spent the whole time they were in there yelling at the screen for them to turn it down, and she left with a headache.

I remember hearing that the thin red line was the loudest movie made at that point, or maybe it was saving private ryan... Anyway. Movie theatres: you pay $15 to get in there, have you ever had the whole thing ruined for you? How?

nope don't have any stories about having to walk out and demand a refund, heard plenty but don't have any myself. Although I wish I had had one during Doom.

Yeah i think Private Ryan was the loudest.

FUN FACT TIME: When David Lynch released Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, he released a statement to movie theatres to turn the volume 5 notches higher, from 10 to 15, so all of the little bits of hidden messages and what not hidden almost inaudibly within the sound track could be heard. Most theatres refused.

I'm sorry for your wife's headache, but the kid sounds so cute!

Anyway, I got a headache from having to sit in the front row once. Good thing it wasn't an action flick. And I had a friend who went to King Kong and someone sitting close to her kept asking what was happening. Watch the screen, lady! You might actually find out.

Man, I can't remember what movie I went to see had the sound super loud, too. I think it was Kill Bill. But damn, that was irritating. It's so distracting...
Anyway, do any of you recall my Hustler rant? xp That was the worst movie-going experience of my life, made only worse by the fact that the film itself was great.
