Hello comrades & I felt like mentchioning something I noticed in towns on peoples "avis" The items "Malice Punk" & "Soldat Officers Hat"I noticed those two items being worn together. On malice punk the red band on the sleeve resembles the Nazi sigma, & the Soldat cap bears the iron cross and eagle. Soldat even means soldier in German. I have found a groups of people wearing this item combination, majority even with nazi in their name, amazes me.

Red bands on the arm can also represent the working class movement, and I think the red in the Nazi banner "represented" the workers of Germany.

You got me on that one.. though I cannot see an excuse for the soldat items. On another note I would imagine the ones using malice punk for the intent of "Nazi" apparel will completely overlook the idea that the band could mean many things.

I have found a groups of people wearing this item combination, majority even with nazi in their name, amazes me. I own both items and see nothing wrong with them. For the malice punk item, I've seen numerous leftist groups around that wear plain red arm bands to show that they are fighting for the worker's struggle. Also, the other items within that "pack" have items such as cocktails and riots, which scream to me a worker's type revolt. As for the soldat items, there is no doubt that the steel and alpine version of the uniforms REALLY resemble the uniforms used by Nazis during WWII. The sand version, though, greatly resembles the uniform that was worn by the Soviet army. I just think that whoever designed this set of items was lazy and just decided to make all the hats and coats look similar just with different colors.

Well Gaia now made CCCP items. *points to Avi* I would like to know what they are called, if you wouldn't mind. So I may hunt them down. As per the Nazi items, even the Untoten item they have out is nifty. I personally have two of them, and one of the Malice Punk items. That's a bit for shock value though, considering Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols adorned such regalia. Anyone remember his swastika (hakenkreuz) shirt? I find it laughable that some people in forums get up in arms about the uniforms, but yet it's Gaia that's creating them. Why? It gives people something to talk about, and keeps people coming here. Even the new gas mask item they released is wicked. Especially for Helghast and Jinhro fans. I think I spelled that correctly, forgive me if not. Still, we don't have much to represent our cause in the way of items. We just have to manage for ourselves and really adapt our own looks. Hence my own, with an almost true to life look of a possible American freedom fighter look. An M-65 look substitute, old tri-color BDU fatigues, a pair of Converse Chucks and accompanying weapons. Hey, it could happen.

Click on the arrow and somewhere on the drop-down menu should be 'view equipped list'. From there you can track down any items you like.

The closest I think we've got to representation in regular stores may be the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" shirts. I could be way wrong, but I still see those stars as a partially representative symbol. Although it makes me wonder about the white star we used on military equipment during WWII. I'll have to look into that symbol's history. Maybe it was to stand out against red stars?
But yes, I'd love to see some more CCCP/USSR items. Not just there, but anywhere. Even if we could dress in NVA regalia or anything, Cuban wear too. Could be fun.

Although sometimes similar things I can find in shops near where I live (and expensive ones at that). By similar I mean things based on russian-ish military coats. Aer ☭

I used to love Champaign Surplus near where I live, but their military section has just dwindled. They say there's not much of a community that loves military fashion in the area. Which I find strange, seeing as it hosts the U of I. Even then, it doesn't have to be the real thing. I enjoy replica East German coats with their flags as much as the real deal. Same with M-65 field jackets. I love them too.
As you can see on my avatar, I have equipped the rusty badge. I think it looks close enough to a red star. Personally, if I could convince all open Communists to wear it as our symbol like the Gaia Nazis once used the bloody arm bandage as theirs; we could better identify ourselves in threads and the such. But that's just me. More of a novelty idea I guess.

It seems like a good idea, but difficult to make true. "How to convince people to wear the item?" I ask Aer ☭

General Aerlinniel It seems like a good idea, but difficult to make true. "How to convince to wear the item?" I ask Aer ☭ Well, for those "Nazis" whom haven't even bothered to read Mein Kampf, in Volume II there's a chapter on battling the Red Forces. Let's give them something to actually deal with I suppose. I don't think there's enough actual debate between the two groups. And I think it'd give the EDP something new to actually see some real debate between two groups that it's popular to hate. Of course I could be well in the wrong. Otherwise, people enjoy a sense of community. It's why we're even here as a guild on Gaia. We enjoy knowing there are others like us to talk to, even if it's just online. So if we made it our symbol, we could perhaps increase in and out of guild camaraderie. Maybe if we made it a general announcement or something somewhere. Either in the GD or something. It's a far cry, but it did look nifty to me. I'd wait and see what some of the elders here have to say about it. Maybe they'd like to make it an official guild recruitment campaign or something. So before I take action I thought I'd ask.
