Now that D+SECT has been released, what do you think of it?
I haven't recieved my copies yet so I downloaded it. My first thought was that it was a huge disapointment, but the more I listened to it, the more I liked it and at it is today, Dead Scape is the only song I don't like. Agnus Dei was my first favorite and still is. Whitchcraft is also a song I got very found of.

I didn't even know it had been released. I just assumed it would be pushed back again. I'm kind of scared to hear it, but I guess I'm just nervous.

Listening to it now. Disappointed so far. The operatic voices sound...computerized? Like alarmingly so. He brought back the whackwhackwhackwhackwhackwhackwhackwhack drums that I hated so much and had been glad he'd abandonned for a while... the guitars are unimaginative and the music sounds kinda soul-less. The vocals kinda float, not connected with the bgm really. And wtf is up with the cover pic? Messed up. I'm only one "Divine Place" and I want to listen to something else. But I'll stick with it, see if it gets any better.

Yeah, the cover isn't very Moi Dix Mois:ish... and K looks like hell (well, I never like K but this was worst than ever)
This record sure can't messure up to Dixanadu, but I think it's better than Dix Infernal.

Really? I love this album to death. Mana-sama has never disappointed me, and as far as someone commenting that the guitars are "unimaginative and the music sounds kind of soul-less," I have to say that I disagree. I hear many aspects that make me feel Mana put quite a bit of hard work and emotion into this album.

Now, I will say, I haven't found a song that tops Monophobia (which is my favorite song), but I do love this album. When I listen to any music by Mana, I feel the same way I did on the very first day I discovered his music: simply moved and inspired. Maybe it's just me, though...

Well, Mana isn't my favorite composer, and I'm not a big fan of Moi Dix Mois, it's too much hard rock for me, but I still enjoy the music, I just don't LOVE it.
But as I wrote, Agnus Dei and Witchcraft are really awesome=)

Ah, truly I understand. I keep forgetting a lot of people don't typically listen to heavy music. xp When I listen to Mana's music, I think, "Well, this isn't as hard rock as Slayer...This is rather calm, peaceful in most places. It's the perfect amount of heaviness," but then I listen to let's say...Alice Nine, and I'm like, "Wow, Mana's music is quite hard compared to the norm, isn't it?" xd
Mana is my favorite composer, though, and Moi dix Mois is my favorite band. Personal taste effects everything. I completely understand Moi dix Mois being too much heavy rock for quite a few people.

I'm totally fashinated by Mana as person, and I do LOVE the music he made in Malice Mizer (Malice Mizer is my favorite band) but Moi DIx Mois doesn't really click with me ^^ (+ I'm a Közi fangirl :p)
What songs did you like on D+SECT?

Malice Mizer is pretty good. Although, I prefer the music he makes with Moi dix Mois. Közi is epic, isn't he? (And sexy, am I right?? I have a poster of him on my wall.) I wish I could have seen them perform together. crying

ANYWAY! The songs I liked...well, I could just say all of them, and that would be true, BUT my favorites were Dies Irae, Dead Scape....It's hard to pick out the ones I really liked, because I'm sitting here going, "I like this one! OH! But I like this one, too! And this one! This one as well...I like all of them!"

My dad, as a non-Moi dix Mois fan, quite likes the Dead Scape song...He also really likes Monophobia (my favorite song from the Nocturnal Opera album).

Well, you can't ask me that, I love Közi in every picture /video etc. XD He's just perfect <3
back to topic: Hehehe, you brainwashed your dad with Moi Dix Mois? I did prefer Seth's Ange, with Juka it's just boring -.-

I heart Seth.
And yes, I brainwashed my dad with Moi dix Mois. Actually, I'm turning him into another version of me. I started by making him watch random Japanese television shows with subs (like Sasuke/Ninja Warrior on G4Tech). Slowly started making him watch Japanese movies. Then, Death Note and other anime...Now, I'm working in j-rock music. He likes Gackt a lot. Alice Nine. He's working his way into liking Moi dix Mois....It's great. My proudest moment is after an episode of Death Note, he ran into my mom's room to tell her about how awesome Death Note is and how she should watch it.

Yesterday, he was watching the Dragonball movie and pointing out all the mistakes between the anime and the movie. I was so proud.

There were a few songs that had to grow on me on this album. But overall it sounds overprocessed and he did bring back those drums and the operatic voices sound vocaloid...it were the operatic voices that were the nail in the coffin for me. If they didn't sound so computer I'd have liked it most likely.

I think D+Sect's
okay, but i wouldn't call it my favourite out of all the Moi dix Mois albums. Personally, I like Mana and everything, he's a great musician, but I think he lost his touch when adding the classical influence on his music. I think it's more metal than anything. Nocturnal Opera beats it, I think.

wow really. I have to say the cover was awesome. what is most was good about the album was the background colors and miox band were great.

Yeah, the cover is cool, I just think it doesn't match the old Moi Dix Mois covers. The card I got for ordering from cdjapan was awesome=)
