Alright, as promised some of the stuff I wrote.
In this first post I'll put some nifty lines I made, for future characters or stories.

My absolutely favorite I made, it really makes you think:
Quote:
"Memories are the essence of who you are;
but who are you, when memories are lost to you?"

Quote:
"When everything you know is a lie...
...you need to keep faith."

Quote:
“When nothing remains of the person you once were…
…you’ll follow the only thing you’ve got left; your heart.”

Quote:
"Under the night's rising sun...
...his journey began."

Quote:
“Betrayal knows my name…
…in more ways than one.”

and this last one is for a B/C shop I hopefully get to help build up:
Quote:

"From dust we rise... to dust we shall return."

this one includes a short poem:

Buried beneath the desert sand,
old structures attest
the contours of an ancient land.
Leading the quest,
a man of great understanding
halted his stride.
His vision ever expanding,
lead him inside.

another short quote:
Quote:
"On ancient grounds a legend's told,
'bout a world forgotten 'n old."

A new quote with inspiration from the weather xD
Quote:
"Stormy nights are like mother earth experiencing PMS"

I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

=)
Thanks for posting ^.^
To start conversation...
Why keep faith when everything you know is a lie?

Mischief managed.

A new quote I came up with.
I have to send partial credits to the weather outside, it was a stormy day again xD

Quote:
"Stormy nights are like mother earth experiencing PMS"

this s**t reads like something found in a crappy fantasy novel. more paolini than tolkien.

Ah... thank you for your wonderful words sournote. I'll take it as a compliment you would even compare my work to an awesome writer as Paolini. And yet, English is not even my main language whee

no see, paolini is not awesome, he is in fact the antithesis of a talented writer. regardless your "work" is, unbelievably, of worse quality than his. and the fact that english isn't your "main" language is a shitty cop-out for sucking so much a**.

Right, you can’t tell me that with limited vocab, with limited grammar or with limited feel of a language, someone should write as good as tolkien… I know my writing isn’t perfect, hell, it’s still in early stages even. Then again, how much can you tell from some quotes? Some are just meant to make you think. Some are just for fun, while others are some experimental ‘quotes’.

Oh right, one more thing, everyone has their own opinion and apparently many people do like the books of paolini, so really, it’s not that bad razz
You could tone it down a little with that attitude btw, makes much nicer conversation… wink

no i don't expect you to write like tolkien, and in fact i never implied that. however when it comes down to it your "work" is crap because it is extremely derivative and cliche. your lack of originality has nothing to do with a limited vocabulary or knowledge of grammatical conventions. as for paolini, my point is that he is a pretty terrible writer and not that he is unpopular, though as we all know popularity is not always the most accurate way to gauge talent.

i could tone the attitude down, but then again you could stop trying to pass trite cliches off as your own brilliant ideas, the important thing here is to accept the reality we exist in and not waste too much time thinking about the one we could possibly exist in. we could try to reconcile the two but i get the feeling you will continue to be a s**t writer and i will continue to be a meany.
