Love looks not with the eyes but with the mind. It only happens once<3
It only happens once,
you smile,
before the tears.
You hear it,
before you judge it.
You feel it,
but you cannot bare it,
it only happens once.
That misfortune,
it calls,
it leaves you restless.
People say it's fake,
you have hope and faith,
but it only happens once.
They say you're too young,
but you believe different,
what you believe in is: love.
It only happens once,
you find it,
you cherish it,
and realize;
it's never once the same.

Trembling from the pain,
the screams start to kill,
sending the body to fall.
The razor doesn't cut it,
numbing of the pills fade.
Herbs make it all go away.
Just for a split second,
the feeling of being alive
has never felt so better.
Being left on the side to
die, and face it all alone
has never seemed lively.
Wanting it all to face a
problem and go away.
They never said being
alone was pleasing.

Being the subtitle of what you deliberately misread and can't take,
you are the one that called the shots;
taking control of what you wanted to call a mistake.
The never ending arguments of what needs to be done.
For you, and only you, it seems.
Ripping at each others throats just to prove a point.
The point you can't control me like you wish.
A slave that's flesh is of a white man's color, and not a black man's.
The possibilities of never coming back when the doors close behind me.
You still push for that redeeming hope of control.
Being sent away for stupidity of death that marks my body,
you still have the audacity to make the same choices as before.
The hatred you give because I'm not him.
The feelings of not knowing what a home really is.
Praying that Sonneillon lets loose of you, and moves on.
Just to hear the soft words and laughs being told by you.
The simpleness of: I love you.
Just to be held again like once before as a child.
To know that what is missing from us all, lies between what you and him hold.

In my opinion love is the best theme of any poem, but I like how these are more about relationships than love, I enjoyed them eventhough I don't usually read poetry.
If you get a chance look at some of the stories I've posted biggrin
