What do you all think about this, what do you like more? I prefer the manga version of a lot of stuff for the lack of filler storylines, though at the same time I enjoy the anime versions of certain mangas because of the graphic quality sometimes, however at the same time I dislike it how often the amime version of a series can go off from the real storyline and confuse people, I personally like manga more though.
Discuss the pros and cons of both, and what you like more.

Manga. Pros: Often the original version, contains a more accurate and detailed storyline, better artwork for some, gets full background/information and tidbits about characters, volumes contains extras that are fun to read and discover. Stories bought easily, storable and read whenever you want (Portable!). Cons: Sometimes deviates off the main storyline, short or previews only to future anime, drawings sometimes stiff/old. Can't read socially... Who wants someone over their shoulder ?
Anime. Pros: Sound, moving images. Gets you more into the action than imagining in the manga. Sociable, meaning you can watch them with friends. Don't have to read. Cons: Cuts plotlines for the most cases, filling episodes, slow development in the story because of more action, animation art is not always better than manga, dubbing voices: sometimes they're just not right !
Well... That's my opinion !

I agree for the most part. But that manga's cons are the side-tracking? While that may be somewhat true, animes have a knack for going further off altogether or even making a new plot, as seen with Full Metal Alchemist. Also, for dubbing, if you watch it subbed or you actually can understand what's happening, the problem still lies with art and slow moving plots.

Yeah thats pretty much what I think, Honestly originally I didn't read much of the Full Metal Alchemist so I didn't realize the difference. (goes to read Manga.)

With Full Metal Alchemist, the original anime deviates from the manga's full plot. However, as the manga hit about 50% completion, FMA: Brotherhood was released, which followed the manga more or less like how any other anime would.
Either way, I have one thing to say.
VIC MIGNOGNA FTW!

let's see... Anime: pros- music (varies), it shows more of a uhhh 'fulller?' action, not just the picture of a motion of hitting. cons: fillers and unnecessary overdone emotional scenes.oh, and flashbacks in the middle of the epic parts.
manga: it goes faster- you can read more in the time it takes to watch something.
on a side note, Both FMA Animes and the manga are awesome EPICNESS!!!!

It was all because of Vic.
Take note how there were no cons for manga in Rut's.

Such a small price to pay for near perfection.

Manga: Black and white isn't as nice sometimes. If there are sfx, I can't read them (usually they're pretty obvious though). I like how easy it is to just pick one up and start reading. You can multitask while reading it too.
Anime: Yay, color! xD Sometimes there's a choice of either hearing the original japanese dubs or English ones. It's really hard to follow sometimes when you're doing other things or get distracted.
I tried not to copy what everyone else wrote, but I pretty much agree with them for the most point xP
I don't know which I like better--really, the most important thing to me is the story. If that's good, I don't really mind whether it's anime or manga or both.
