A bookstore hidden away on a small street that hardly anyone ever notices. The owner is an old man and even though the store is small, it has more books and things than a city library.

 Zay walks in, the jingle from the door ringing. He went behind the counter, and flung the curtain aside stepping into the backroom. "Grandpa! I'm here!" He called out and dropped his backpack onto a chair before going back out into the front and flipping the Closed sign to Open.

Rikou shifted to the door, peering inside. "How cute. I never noticed this store before." Rikou whispered, walking in. She was amazed at how many books there were. Maybe this day wouldn't be as bad as she thought! Rikou smiled, taking stacks of books from the shelfs.

Zay looked up from wiping the counter and saw a girl in the store. Wow, a customerThen he recognized her as the girl from the other store. He smiled to himself and continued to wipe the counter, not wanting to bother her from her sudden search of books. ((gtg now. g'nites!))

Rikou wobbled to the counter, setting down a huge stack of books. "How much would these be?" The girl asked cheerfully, not noticing that Zay was behind the pile. Almost all of the novels in her stack were romance themed, and two were 'how to get your crush to like you' books. Rikou shuffled through her bag, trying to find money.

Zay's eyes widened at the large pile. No one had ever bought that much from the store before. He took each book and scanned it. "Um..total is $87.56." Then he noticed one book and snatched it. "Whoa, umm sorry but this book isn't for sale." He said quickly and deleted its price from the computer. " So, that makes $65.56."

Rikou twitched, pulling out the money from her wallet. "You know, restraining people's book rights should be against the law." Rikou growled, pushing aside the books to see Zay's face. "You!" She said out in shock.

Zay raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Yeah, it's me. In the flesh. And I'm sorry but the book was a story my grandmother wrote. I can't sell it to you." Then he stashed it under the counter. ((you have join requests in the Pirate guild. lol not sure whether to accept or decline since ur the captain))

 Zay's "grandpa" came out from the back room. "Do you need help miss?" He asked the girl looking for books.

Rikou sighed, seeing on how she was short on cash. "Nevermind the other books.." She pushed forward the 'how to..' book towards Zay. "Will ten dollars let me buy this?" Rikou questioned, eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, and you get change too." Zay laughed and scanned the book, took the ten dollar bill, and gave Rikou back her change. "I'm not even gonna ask." He shook his head at her and chuckled.

"grandpa" thought for a while and said, "I think my uhh 'grandson' sold Shiver to a girl last week, but we still have Linger. Let me go get it." He told her and went back into the back room. A few seconds later, he came back holding a book. "Is this it?"
