Rules

I. Do not post here.

II. Your character MUST be in Price Manor to read these books.

III. Only personal guests of Price Manor may read from Alaster's library, so please do not visit his home to simply raid the library.

IV. Do not destroy/steal books without permission from me first.

V. Please follow these rules and any future rules added in.

Adding Books

If your character wishes to write a book to add to Alaster Price's home library, you may ask my permission and send your book in a Private Message (PM) to me and i will read it over, spellcheck it, etcetera, and i will happily add it to the library given that it's longer than a paragraph. If you wish, you may ask me to add your book, it doesn't matter what it's about. Weather it's a poem book, diary, documentary, biography, auto biography, fiction, non-fiction, cook books, comic books, whatever you can think up! I'll add it in, i'm sure characters would love to spend time reading your wonderful literature. You may choose to stay anonymous when submitting a book and i will sign it as "Written by anonymous" or "Author: anonymous" for literature you'd like to submit without others knowing who wrote it.

Reading Books in RP

This is not an RP thread. This is just a place to list books so you know exactly what your characters have to choose from back at the Price Manor thread, and this can teach you and your character a lot about some things you didn't know in RP. When selecting a book to read, you may choose to read here first and then have your character role play selecting and reading the book in the Price Manor thread or you can select the book first at the Price Manor thread and then come read the book yourself here,

Example:
(You: In the Library of Price Manor, i've already read my book and now i am posting in Price Manor.) Alice entered the library and walked up to one of the colossal bookcases, looking over the large selection of books and pulling the dusty diary of Sabrina Sudent from the shelf, walking back to one of the reading desks scattered about the library and pulling out a seat. She sat down and opened her book, reading over the aged, yellowing pages of Sabrina's diary.

That was an example of how you could choose to approach selecting a book and having your character read it in RP.

Unwritten Books

Alaster Price's home library consumes three floors of the house and is filled with thousands, upon thousands, upon thousands of books, which means they won't all be written here. But that doesn't mean they don't exist. If your character is looking for a cook book that isn't listed here, it will still exist in the library as long as it isn't some obscure spell tome that can only be found in the deepest lava pool of Hell itself.

Example:
(You: I've thought of a book i needed that was not listed in the Library thread) Alice walked into the library and went to one of the many towering bookcases in the library, looking over many titles until she found Damadra's personal cook book, pulling it from the shelf and walking back out, heading towards the kitchen.

That was an example of selecting an unlisted book. Unless requested i wouldn't list Damadra's Cook Book because it's not nececcarily needed as much as most listed books would be. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist in Alaster's library. Cool huh?
