WWE Releases Kaval (Former Known As Low Ki)
WWE released the following on their website:
“World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of WWE SmackDown Superstar Kaval (Brandon Silvestry) as of today, December 23, 2010. We wish Kaval the best in all future endeavors.”
Kaval had wrestled as Low Ki for years on the independents, including Ring of Honor, and also competed as Senshi for a time in TNA. No word yet on whether or not he requested the release or if this was WWE’s sole decision. He was the winner of NXT season 2 and a member of the Smackdown roster.

Its all good; he's back as Low Ki, and he's already got a match against Amazing Red. Its no problem, really.
Granted, Vince is an idiot for letting him go; then again, any high-flier that isn't Rey isn't worth pushing, at least not that much.

Well, that statement made me think and proved that if you're not for the kids, or a PG Superstar like Rey (who always does this head thing to all the kids wearing his mask), you won't last long in the company...

Exactly. It sucks that they weren't using him at all, or even using him right.

I'm waiting for the time to come that all WWE midcarder Superstars will ask for their resignation because of being buried, and the company will only have like 2 or 3 matches on one episode...And everything would suck, and the company will shut down, and Vince will regret everything that he did (from making WWE a PG show, releasing TALENTED SUPERSTARS that are way more talented than Cena)...
The problem with them now is, they are too much focusing on the main eventers...You know...

If you can't find a use for Low Ki in your business, you're doing it wrong.

-- Some reactions from the wrestling world on Twitter about Kaval’s release:
John Cena: “CeNation. Behind as always. I guess wwe has released kaval. I have no clue why but this close to holiday would probally mean……. That it is pretty serious business.”
Jim Ross: “Kaval’s release from WWE surprised me. Don’t know the circumstances. Kaval won’t have any issues finding work. I wish him my best.”
Jeremy Borash: “Very grateful to be working for a company that gives out bonus checks at Christmas instead of walking papers.”
Shelton Benjamin: “I guess my question is would you rather see him as a jobber for Wwe or the Indy phenom that he had been.”
Gregory Helms: “U gotta be f***ing kidding!!!”
Joey Styles: If TNA doesn’t immediately sign Kaval (who won NXT based on wwe.com fans and wrestlers votes), I’ve no idea what they look for in wrestlers.
Seth Rollins (a/k/a Tyler Black): Jaw is on the floor… @oneworldwarrior gone from WWE?! I can’t believe it.
Daniel Bryan: Not sure what happened, but I’d always hoped I could face @OneWorldWarrior on WWE TV. He’s one of the most talented men I’ve ever wrestled.

Kaval Was Unhappy In WWE, Asked For Release
According to sources close to former WWE superstar Kaval, he was the one who asked to be released. He was not fired, as some readers originally assumed.
From what we’ve heard, Kaval was said to be “miserable” working the WWE schedule and did not see his career going anywhere. Company officials tried to talk him into staying, but were anable to do so.
Joey Styles wrote on Twitter, “If TNA doesn’t immediately sign Kaval (who won NXT based on wwe.com fans and wrestlers votes), I’ve no idea what they look for in wrestlers.” As was the case with the recent releases of Matt Hardy and MVP, top WWE officials are not worried about Kaval going to TNA – since stars like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson have done very little to help TNA’s ratings.
Kaval’s first post-WWE match has already been announced. He will be back wrestling as “Low Ki” when he wrestles former TNA X-Division champion The Amazing Red on January 28th for Impact Championship Wrestling in Queens, New York.

I can certainly understand Kaval's frustration. To say he was completely mismanaged is by far the biggest understatement made this year. The guy won NXT thanks to the fan voting. How does WWE not understand that that correlates into "hey, fans want to see this guy"...which is a statement that doesn't end with "job to Drew McIntyre in about ten seconds." It didn't help Kaval, and it certainly didn't help Drew (then again, nothing's going to help Drew get over...look how many fueds he's had, and look how stagnant he is. And this current storyline with him and Kelly Kelly is ******** attrocious. Neither of them can act, which makes it hard to believe that either of them are actually attracted to each other). But even before that...just sloppy bullshit. Using his guaranteed title shot for a meaningless secondary belt...and then losing? Granted, I think winner of NXT should get either an IC or US title shot...no world title shots because of how uneasy it is to just shoot these guys into the main event. But it just showed what they thought of him. I don't know who's cereal he s**t in when he came in, but his treatment has been horrendous, and for absolutely zero reason.
That being said, I hope he doesn't go to TNA. He's too good for that. Go to ROH Kaval/Senshi/Low Ki! There's a future there! Also, that Low Ki/Amazing Red match sounds like it'll be awesome. I would love to see that.
