My youth group at our church did a bible study about gays, and I decided to share it with as many people as I possible can! heart
I've had many Christian friends say there ok with gays. And no matter how many times I try to explain how wrong it is, they dont care. They just say they're ok with everyone. And to me, you need to explain to gays why its wrong, and if they ignore you, then thats them. But its your resposibilty to tell people about God and his word. Including the gays.
I've been seeing all over gaia that gay Christians are wondering if being gay is ok with God. And many Christians say it is. Of course God still loves them, but he IS NOT ok with it. Its completly wrong. God created male and female for a reason. Its not ok, and God even says so.
In a way, it is GREAT to be friends with gays. Because, it gives u a chance to explain to them that it is wrong, and tell them your faith.
It is good to love them and not judge them and treat them with the same love that Christ has for us; but that doesn't mean that it's ok/right/fine.
And, dont bully them, God wouldnt want that. Show that you love them, actually them, not their sin. But tell them, explain to them why it is wrong.

[By the way I am using my own bible and it is New King James Version.]

Leviticus 20:13~
'If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Therir blood shall kill the beast.

Romans 1:26-27~
For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchange the natural use for what is against nature.
Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which is due.

If I find anymore verses that could be fit in here, i'll add. Please tell me if you have one that fits to.

According to this, sodomy is a sin. Not liking the same gender.

It's all okay as long as you keep your a**s clear it seems.

We must remember though that we are all sinners, and that all of us have fallen short to the Glory of God, and that a sin is a sin - whether it is a hurtful word, stealing a bubble gum at the store or something that in the eyes of humans is worse. If you have broken one letter in the law you have broken the whole law, and will be held accountable unless you believe. We are all just as terrible in the eyes of God, and it is only through Jesus we can please him. We come to Jesus as we are... If not then salvation would be the salvation of works - which it is not. We have no right denying anyone salvation.

I second this, Garland Green. We need to reach out to ALL people. Far too long have people turned a firm yet gentle conviction of God's command and made it bland and useless - lacking an encouragement to turn others from sin in a spirit of gentleness, and giving them a reason to follow the path to a new life. Amen, Garland.

Did you guys not read what I put? I was just stating that it was wrong, but me musnt judge them, show love to them. And not to bully them. I put all that in my statement.
I do not disencourage them. I know plenty of gays and I tell them about God, and many are at my Church trying to help themselves. I dont leave them out. I show love.

I must admit that I didn't read it well. xp
But it is just the fact that for some reason gays have been singled out as being more horrible sinner than us other sinners that upsets me. I mean we can tell them it is wrong, but it should not become a impenetrable wall that prevents them from accepting Christ. I mean; I did not keep an account of all the bad things I did or thought when I was a sinner so I could recall every single one of them, to be forgiven when I believed. Did I have to know all the bad things I had done to be forgiven? Did I have to ask for forgiveness for everything small and big, or did I just have to realize that I am a sinner and the only way to God is through accepting His sacrifice? Just feeling that we as Christians have been too hard, and to many it has become a stumbling block since they are singled out as being the worst offenders by some Christians. I personally don't feel it is love to say to someone that God hates them like many do. God doesn't hate gays - Jesus died even for gays. Everything is wrong, completely. Except faith. Deep down everyone knows they are a sinner...It is why people come and argue with us. They are trying to prove their own innocence to themselves. I would also encourage you to read the original Greek manuscripts that the King James has been translated from, it is very ambiguous on the subject.

Not saying you feel this way or that this is how you act, I know you want what is best for your friends, and that you want them to be saved. Saying that some people feel that way about gays and it is not right.

- God bless you and keep you safe.

Yes God loves them, just not their sin. Try to think of what people are saying in a diffrent point of view then you own. Your taking what I said as if I hated every gay person in the world. I dont hate them, and neither does God. I was just pointing out that it was wrong.

Well, I've really never seen a bible verse stating otherwise. You know, for a man to love another man (or for a woman to love another woman) like that.

All I've read is that gay sex is a sin, not gay love.

Maybe I skipped something? ._.;

I don't see the point in telling gay people that their decisions are wrong. If you're going to tell gay people that their decisions are sinful, then you need to tell everyone that their decisions are sinful, because everyone sins. It's not fair to just pick on one sin and forget about all of the others. I mean, divorce is pretty well ignored nowadays.
