((Kale to the rescue!))

Kale burst from between gliding about the barracks chirping in an odd hyper way. After doing some of the wildest acrobatics ever done by a bronze flit Kale landed on Nevaeh's cot. He seemed to be looking for something that was burried in the sheets. Sniffing about Kale stopped just above a small lump in one of the sheets. Without a second thought Kale dove under the sheets coming up seconds later with a round rock in his claws that had been painted a bright red. He had hide it there last night and had forgotten about it until he went looking for it. It was his luck that his mind even remembered he had left it there.

Mystith wandered back into the weyrling barracks with a soft croon. She was bored. Quite bored in fact, though the arrrivals from Benden weyr were interesting. Hmm, so that weyr had a rock falling did it? and now they were coming here? Well, as interesting as it was, it still didn't quell the green's thirst for something to bring her out of her boredom. Her mine was somewhere...maybe she should just take a nap? Yes, a nap sounded nice, it would be better to sun, but on the obligation of posting in the weyrling barracks, a nap here would do just fine.

Meandering over to her stone couch, the green curled up, fitting nicely. Ah, it was good to be a green, when she grew, her couch wouldn't get as cramped for her as it would for some of the other colours. She wasn't a large green anyways, though she was slimmer, and more flexible than most. And her wings were very agile looking, wide, yet with length, so that she would be both fast and agile in the air. What she lacked in size, she would make up for in those other aspects, and that suited her just fine. Rather than be heavier and less mobile in the air, she would own it! Her mind filled with joyful thoughts of what she and Faerra could do once they were finally able to fly together. And high. The green couldn't wait. She wouldn't be one of those timid dragons, flying straight, just gliding. No, she would be pulling stunts as fast as the eye could blink once she was in the air. Mind overflowing with images of the daredevil things she would be able to do, she drifted off.

Kale with the round painted rock now in his claws wiggled underneath the sheets that he had just messed up and curled into a small ball. The warm of his body and the sheets combined made it warm up quickly. It didn't seem to bother him though, he was more interested in the round rock. He chirped excitedly playing with the round rock by rolling it between his forelegs. It seemed that nothing would bring him out from under those sheets any time soon.

Mystith awkoe from her drowsy state, well rested, and searching for something to do. Getting up, she stretched her wings, admiring how much bigger they were now. Ah! The ones from
Benden were here now. Perhaps she could find Faerra somewhere down there? Her mine must be doing something more interesting than herself. Taking a step forward, she leaped, semi gliding out of the weyr, happy that she could sort of fly now.

Nevaeh wandered in a few minutes after Naeryn going over to her small part of the barracks not far from Naeryn's and removed her soggy clothes hanging them over the small little table beside her cot to dry out. She quickly grabbed a towel and dried herself off. With her body dry she took to her hair scrubbing it vigoriously and then wrapping it up.

Pulling back the sheets on her bed Nevaeh sighed watching the little bronze flit curled up and sleeping soundly in the middle of her bed. Nevaeh rolled her eyes and easily picked up Kale carfull not to wake him and placed him at the very end of the bed before climbing in herself. Javareth had already settled in to his stone couch with Teal curled up beside him and still no sign of Genji.

"Good night everyone." Nevaeh said just before closing her eyes and going into a deep sleep that not even a dragon's bulge could wake her from.

Amlaith happily entered the male half of the Barracks, finding her couch quickly. Ah, sleep! Night, Mine... The green softly said as she was lulled to sleep shortly after curling up.

R'dan smiled, then removed his wet clothes and set them aside before crawling into his own cot beside the green and falling asleep as well.

Nae yawned as the first rays of light began to poke themselves into the girls' weyrling barracks. Blinking the sleep from her eyes, she sat up and arched her back, almost to a ninety degree angle. She flung off the covers and stood up, quickly tugging on the pants, loose shirt and short vest jacket she'd just finished making for herself. She looked around at herself, inspecting her appearance. Not too bad. Better than the just-a-little-too-worn old outfit she'd been wearing before.

She sighed contentedly and turned around to find Cyhiraeth's whirling eyes on her. "Morning, love."

Mine... you and the others, and the Benden weyrlings, are to meet weyrlingmaster R'ign today. She paused a moment. Dragons too, and right away.

Naeryn smiled. Maybe today was the day they'd get to fly together! She was sure that Cyhi could have taken her before, even though it took Javareth's flight to make her really fly instead of just glide... but she was no fool. She saw what happened to Aoki - she got to fly once, before anyone else... then got stuck a week without any flying at all, while everyone else was learning. "All right, love... I'll wake up the others then." She walked over to the other two girls she knew - Faerra and Nevaeh - and shook them gently awake, waving at Kirana as she left. Then, with a little more caution, she went to poke the strangers from Benden into alertness.
