Appearance: Only twenty seven turns, Tolara appears older than she is. Small worry wrinkles crease skin tanned by long exposure to the sun. While she used to be slightly plump, years of dragonriding has gotten rid of most the excessive fat. Her hair seems constantly in a state of dissaray, mainly due the chaotic mass of curls. Tolara keeps the medium brown mass cropped close no longer than an inch or two at most. While slightly on the short side, the browneyed woman is around the average range, unlike her friend R'ign.
BackgroundTolara was the eldest daughter in her family, and thus it fell to her shoulders to take care of her sick mother at a young age. Already sensitive to others needs, Tolara took to caring for the invalid quickly. However, this later came back to haunt her in the form of an intense and crippling shyness. Having spent so much time with her mother, Tolara often neglected interacting with her peers, or even doing much for herself. As she will later recall with irony, when she was Searched out, Tolara was the only candidate that had never even seen so much as a flit egg before.
Tolara stood on the sands when she was fifteen, alongside a girl named Reign. The two's friendship was cemented when after Impression several boys made fun of Reign, now R'ign, impressing a blue. With support from Glith, even if the gold was just a hatchling, Tolara stood up to the bullies. Ever since R'ign and Tolara have been firm friends helping each other throughout the years.
Tolara became Weyrwoman at the age of eighteen, five turns ago. The death of the old queen came only a few sevendays before the first time Glith rose, and the first time she met V'tos. His Zorith has caught Glith every flight, up until the two dissapeared between forever. Now Tolara is pregnant with his child, and soon Glith will be rising again. Who's going to be the new Weyrleader?

Appearance: Glith is a burnished antique gold over, with lighter streaks along her eyeridges. She's about average size for a gold, but still manages to be larger then every other dragon in the Weyr. She loves gossip and teasing her rider, occassionally crossing the line. Glith is often unconsiously bossy towards all the other colors, telling them what to do instead of asking. For all of her flights Zorith has flown her but with he and V'tos dead it opens a new avenue for bronzes. The gold has recently been having smaller clutches. Could this be the result of the famine?
