Hello everyone~ heart
In my school, there is a huge double standard on gay couples and straight couples. Like most, my school has a policy against PDA, or, Public Displays of Affection. This rule is there, but is hardly ever enforced. Straight couples make out in every hallway between every class period, their tongues deep down each other's throats. The principal, and all other teachers pass by these couples, and say nothing. Yet the other day, my two friends Heather and Chelsey were walking down the hallway, they were both dating, and Chelsey leaned up and just pecked Heather on her cheek. There were literally three other couples making out in the hallway. A teacher came over and told them to stop immediately, and that that behavior was strictly forbidden. The principal comes over, and agrees with her, while the other couples continue to make out.
My school is extremely homophobic, but even if we managed to get evidence of this unfair treatment, the school would start punishing the straight kids, and the straight kids would get pissed off at the gay kids.
I just want to ask, does anyone else suffer from this problem? I mean, the rules being enforced only on LGBT students while the other students can do as they please.
