How do I practice acceptance of others but not try to change who they are? I know that I can't change people; God does. Still, that doesn't stop me from having that thought in my head, about how to change someone, about how to lead them to Christ.
I'm also feeling myself slipping away from God. I feel cut off from Him and I know there are a lot of verses saying that nothing on Earth can ever separate us from God. I'm feeling down, lost, confused and unsure. I don't know what to do.
Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated, thank you.

This is something from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives you the desire and the boldness to be a witness for Christ Jesus. To practice acceptance of others is to see all sin as equally sinful and see no difference between people except for that there's people who are saved and people who are lost. But we're all sinners. There is no better or worse, all sin is wicked. Do not accept sin, but realize that only Jesus can change someone and cleanse them and that Jesus loves and died for even the most unacceptable people.
We're not to condone sin or hang out w/ homosexuals while they make out w/ eachother or chill on the couch w/ people while they watch a porno. No, we don't accept that. The only reason that Jesus was seen w/ sinners is because he was telling them how they needed to be healed. PawzPrint I'm also feeling myself slipping away from God. And what's neat about having a broken heart about these things is that you can still have the joy of the Lord also.
Psalm 34:18
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
