Who here has read "the increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy"?
Did you know that there is a 6th book by Eoin Colfer? I thought is captured the odd flow of the first five fairly well, with a couple of new reoccurring things.

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! - Me!
I've read all of them (except the 6th) I actually played the original Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy game when it came out! If I recall it came with a small towel and a pair of Joo Janta 2000 Ultra Peril Sensitive Sunglasses which turn black at the first sign of peril thus sparing the wearer any anxiety (a pair of black cardboard glasses).

i will have to check that out
i thought the ending for hitchhiker's guide got a bit depressing. i think douglas adams was going through some bad times.
read "dirk gently's holistic detective agency"?

I loved the series but I was really depressed by the "ending."

Well since we lost Douglas Adams and Rovert Aspirin there hasn't really been anyone to take up their sci-fi/fantasy/humor niche. My fave author in a similar vein is Terry Pratchett but it looks like he won't be writing anything more.
