Levi's home. Haruko also lives here once she comes from overseas
PostPosted: Fri Dec 31, 2010 8:11 pm

[[NOTE: Haru is still overseas in another country. So this is more of a email chat. ]]

The days before the school year started were always the most annoying. Especially when those you knew were already in school. 17 year old Haruko Neyrrehs slumped at her computer desk, staring boredly at the monitor. She'd already done everything she had for the day, and was now waiting until her brother's school got out so she could talk to him. Even though they had been separated as small children by their parents' divorce, and her mother hadn't really approved of it, the two had maintained contact through emails and occasional phone calls.

Finally she couldn't take it any longer, and moved the cursor to her email icon, clicking twice and opening the program. After clicking on his email address, she then proceeded to type a message:

Hi Leviathan.
How was your first day as a Senior? Did you make any friends?

She hit Send, and then turned off the screen, leaving on the volume so it would alert her when his reply came, and then went to find something to occupy her time. She was sure she had a new book around here somewhere.

User ImageIt had taken Sherra a bit longer than she had first expected to reach her destination, a fact that bothered her slightly. She was generally good at getting to places on time, if not sooner. Damn traffic. She put the car in park and then slowly climbed out, glancing at the houses and then at the paper in her hands. This was the right street; now she just had to find the actual house. The teen let out a small sigh, closed the door, and crossed over to the other side of the street. As she walked, she mumbled the numbers under her breath, occasionally checking the paper, until she came to the one she was looking for. Smiling confidently she headed over to the porch and rang the buzzer. Hopefully Leviathan was actually home. She'd be annoyed if she'd come all this way for nothing.

Leviathan was pondering on how to answer his sister's message, not wanting to make her upset, but nothing came to mind. He was about to start typing a reply in, until he heard the doorbell. He clicked the minimize button and closed his laptop, going to the door. He unlocked it and pulled it open, only to see Sherra at the steps. He was unsure what to say to her. The kids, like they had done to Cerras, was bullying him. Except with him, it was more mental than anything else. He wasn't about to mention any of it, after all, Sherra probably already knew about it. "Hey. What are you here for?" He questioned.

User ImageSherra let out a small sigh as she waited for him to open the door, tapping her foot lightly against the stone. She didn't possess the same patience her brother did. She preferred for things to be instantaneous. There just wasn't enough time in a day to spend waiting. Fortunately Leviathan chose then to open the door. "I was asked to bring you this." she said, holding out the papers. "You forgot them when you left school early." She was a bit confused by that now. He didn't look sick, or injured in any way.

Leviathan took the papers from Sherra's hands, scowling at the sight of the work. He just didn't feel as up to it today, after all the drama and blackmail. He ran a hand through his bangs while he stared at her expression. "What are you thinking about?"

User ImageThe teen glanced up again when she heard him speak, realizing that she had spaced out for a moment. "I had just thought that you'd left school because you were sick or something. But you seem fine..." she answered. Was it weird for to her to be wondering about something like that? She had spent two classes chatting with him, and then he was suddenly gone. And there were classes they were guaranteed to have together, so it wouldn't be that hard for her to notice.

She wouldn't automatically assume that the other students had forced him away. She'd made it a habit to ignore whatever stupidity they did. It would only leave her with a migraine if she tried to pay attention to that sort of thing. Besides, it would be silly for there to be jealousy over him. Nothing had really happened. They'd just had a small conversation; if it could be called one.

Leviathan glanced off to the side, his grip tightening around the open door. "I am fine," He said, trying to stay calm, his anger towards those students was building up again. They would throw insults at him, but he wouldn't try to fight back. There was no reason to. It wouldn't prove anything -- they already thought he was a bad person -- snapping on them wouldn't do a thing. So he just did his best to ignore them. "What happened is none of your business. so don't even try to get an answer out of me. " He scowled.

User ImageSherra was a bit taken aback by the anger that now laced his tone. What was his deal? She returned it with a scowl of her own, and folded her arms tightly over her chest. "For the record, I wasn't going to ask about it. What you do doesn't matter to me in the least." she retorted. Why would it? He hadn't even earned the privilege of being an acquaintance yet. He shouldn't be flattering himself by thinking she would actually care to know.

"I was just concerned that you weren't well." she continued, then, realizing that countered her previous statement somewhat, added. "Because I should have some warning in case I caught it from you." She was clearly just trying to cover the minor slip up. She really didn't care for him. She might feel bad for him, because everyone seemed to have it in their heads that he was some horrible person when he was far from it.

"You were concerned? Why's that? You hate me." Leviathan murmured bluntly. She had spoken to him before, but she seemed to be in quite a bad mood when doing so. It was a bit annoying. But the point being -- why did she even care? "I heard you cover your slip up. You don't have to put up a "cool" act you know. I don't care. And you shouldn't either. Who cares what people think? As long as you enjoy yourself... "
He had no clue where he was going with this; but for some reason he just wanted to see her open up more. Who knew.

User ImageOf course he had to notice. The one time she actually slips up, and tries to correct it, it's completely transparent. This actually annoyed her a bit, but she kept it hidden beneath the surface so he wouldn't know and think it was directed at him. Really it was more towards herself for messing up like that. "I don't know why I was concerned, alright?" she replied. "But I don't hate you. I never did. It's not my style to just randomly hate people." She found it almost laughable that he'd thought that. Of course, there was no sign of amusement in her face or tone. Sherra didn't really have much of a sense of humor.

Leviathan just listened, and thought about what she said. He smirked slightly. " Oh, so you really were concerned. Very rare from you." He mocked. Of course he was joking, he would never say a thing like that to someone, even when he was a bit of a loner. Just because he was a loner did not mean he was heartless.

Unfortunately for Levi, Sherra's lack of humor kicked in, and she was a bit offended by his remark. She wasn't going to complain about it though; she didn't feel like having an argument at the moment. "Yeah, I suppose I was." she answered. "I'm glad we have that established now." It seemed that her being concerned about him was the main focus. Was it really that amazing to him that someone could care even a little? If that was, then she couldn't wait to meet the rest of the family.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 06, 2011 7:35 pm

"Is there anything else you want to talk about?" Leviathan questioned her, becoming quite serious again. She seemed to not take humor to any of this, being very serious herself. Ah, well, that was her choice.

User ImageSherra was silent for a moment, surprised that she was actually tempted to stay there and talk with him. But that was dulled by the fact that she had absolutely no idea what else she could talk to him about. It was one of the difficulties of first meeting a person. Until you got to know them and their, conversations could be a challenge. "I suppose that's it..." she admitted at last, after unsuccessfully coming up with another topic. "Can I expect to see you at school tomorrow?"

Since he wasn't ill, or injured, and she couldn't see any signs of chaos within the house, there was no reason why he couldn't come. Part of her was still curious about what he had been so quick to hide from her. His wording had made it almost too obvious that something was wrong. But she wasn't going to pry into it and ask. Like he'd said, it wasn't any of her business, and it probably had absolutely nothing to do with her in the least.
