I just pulled a elspeth in a recent pack and I'm wanting to make a deck but I don't know what kind. Should I go with a W/G life deck or a token deck. Any suggestions? I want to keep it standard.

Well....you didn't say which Elspeth you pulled, your fav colors, your play style, your card/money limitations.........provide some info first, then someone might be able to help. Also, if you plan to take the deck to a tournament, you need to find what decks your opposition will be playing, and build your deck accordingly.

I pulled the New Elspeth, I tend to lean more towards blue/black but I'm exploring into other colors. I don't have a lot of money so I'm not able to buy multipule copies of cards. But I do have at least one copy of most of the white cards in scars.

Have you thought of awakening zone (3$)? you can try a eldrazi monument, and spash garruk and elspeth in it. all are pretty cheap, but if you dont want to buy any more cards, you can try myr tokens with tempered steel. or you can try equipment deck with just white cards

Alot of good stuff came out soldier wise from Avacyn, its always smart looking into getting x4 copies of Elite Inquistor, 2 mana protection from vampires, werewolves, and zoombies, also has first strike and vigilance. Honestly I find "Elspeth The Knight Errant" to be a better card just simply because she spawns tokens. And with those tokens you'll want Champion of the parish. He buffs himself up, but with tokens you suddenly have a 10/10 on your side with one or two things going on. Look into getting x4 honor of the pure's, and x3 glorious anthem's. Just a thought, and if you really intend to make use of Elspeth's last ability a wrath of god, go straight for the combo of "Avacyn angel Of Hope", she's expensive yea, but the combo works. Your side of the field is indestructable pretty much. Just so you can use Elspeths last ability, whipe your opponents fields and swing for the kill. Sorry if thats a little much. I used to run soldiers when i first got into mtg.

I used to run soldiers when i first got into mtg. Sounds good but there's one flaw. Elspeth wouldn't power Champion of the Parish up... They're soldiers not human soldiers. Therefore champ wouldn't get pumped.
