Nah, dude. I was just at Walmart today, and they had a billboard for it saying it was coming out February 15th. Thank god. After the 13th and 14th, I'm gonna need it.

And I'd like to see Jill make a return.

February?Amazourful!Sooner than I expected.Personally I'm kind of excited for King Arthur from Ghosts 'n Goblins. Those games were so fun,and hard as hell.

I know that Chris and Wesker are gonna be in it,but unfortunately they'll be in their Resi 5 skins. The characters I almost know are confirmed are: Ironman, Hulk, She-Hulk, Wolverine, Dante, Deadpool, Chris, Wesker, King Arthur, Ryu, Chun Li, Veautiful Joe, Magneto, and Bionic Commando. Those are just the ones I've seen in Gameplay footage of the unreleased, and unfinished demos and what not.

I read that Jill's gonna be a DLC available upon release. But I'm pretty sure it's the crappy "Samus meets Nina" Jill from RE5. So not really Jill at all.

Right on about the Ghouls n' Ghosts/Ghosts n' Goblins. But yeah, they were just ridiculous in the difficulty department, having to beat it twice to actually beat it and s**t. Maximo was kinda the spiritual successor to that franchise.

And I'm still crossing my fingers for some alt. S.T.A.R.S. outfits for Chris and Wesker. Not holding my breath, though. And I really hope it's not Zero Suit Samus Jill. I'm stoked for Deadpool.

Well, Wii got Tatsunoko VS Capcom and none of the other guys did. Banjo Kazooie is Rare and Microsoft owns them now, so that explains that. You can still play it on the XBLA. But yeah, I agree. The Wii could definitely use a new Star Fox and Pikmin 3.

But none of this really has to do with MvC3...

Why is it called "Two Worlds" anyway? I mean, they're not exactly two worlds. If you think about Capcom's franchises, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, DMC, they don't all occur in the same world. So even if you look at all of Marvel's heroes as a single world, it's simply not the case for Capcom.

*hardcore games increasing sales for the Wii*

I think you forgot that actual hardcore games don't sell on the Wii if Mario, Sonic or a licensed character/name is on the cover.

Anyways, there's been a couple blog-posts from the Marvel guys explaining the costumes. They are seriously NOT changing the character models for anything. It'll all just be changes to the skins. I was kinda holding out for otherwise, but yeah, at least it'll be more elaborate recolors than in the 2D games.

Punisher Cap looks terrible though.

LAAAAME.

They're probably doing it so they can charge us 5 bucks a pop for the alternate costumes via DLC. Damn you, Capcom. stare

Nope, that's what the extra characters are for. At least the recolors and skins are actually taken from actual costumes from the comics...for the Marvel characters at least.

You don't know that they won't possibly be putting out costume alts in DLC. They did it for SFIV, and if Capcom can make more money, they probably will.

I'm a little concerned about Mike Haggar. If we're gonna go with Final Fight Characters I'd rather see Guy or Cody.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 25, 2011 10:47 pm

They probably put in Haggar to make up for Cody and Guy already being in SF IV. And probably to continue the joke of Zangief and Haggar never showing up in the same game. Or, hell, to finally put him in a new fighting game since Ring of Destruction (Final Fight Revenge doesn't count).

Well Kenshiro, I told you so:

There's S.T.A.R.S. Chris in all his glory, along with SF1 Ryu and Dante's alt from the original DMC. This is the first DLC pack, of course.

Here's the real kicker, though: Capcom announced this s**t the day the game launched. Which means this s**t was was ready at launch, and could have very well have been included with the retail game, but Capcom decided to hold it back and charge us for it. The game's been getting ding'd in reviews for a lackluster roster compared to its prequel, and a lack of alternate outfits and game modes (ya know, standard s**t for fighters). And now this first DLC pack is gonna have a couple of alts, a game mode, and two new characters -- all of which shoulda been on the disc in the first place. Well, actually, they are on the disc. Some hackers found the assets to most of the s**t on the disc, and you're just paying to unlock it: source.

So... great business model, Capcom. Basically, we pay $60 for an incomplete game, and then another $30 - $40 in DLC packs for the complete experience.

Remember the good ol' days of last gen? You know, when you were rewarded with alt costumes, new characters, and game modes by actually playing through the game and unlocking them? Now you get a meaningless trophy or acheivement and pay more cash for standard s**t that should have been included in the retail game you just plunked down $60 for to begin with. -_-
