I love zOMG! so much and to have it in this horrible unknown state is not good. My gold income mostly comes from zOMG!
Earlier I got to play zOMG! after a long time of not playing it and I was excited ... I know it sounds nerdy or geeky or whatever but the only reason I really joined Gaia was for zOMG! and I would probably quit or not be as active if I couldn't play zOMG! anymore
The pets are really neat additions to zOMG! When I was fighting mama saw my OMG pet was being really expressive :3

You can help zOMG by watching the ads (if you see them) and buying Pets (from the store, not mp) and Buccaneer Boardwalk headstart tickets.

Dy, not everyone can use real money for gaia items. so that's one thing that gaia must realize. also.. I hate ads. I've got adblocker now and will never go back.. The idea.. it creeps and disgusts me out.

I think zOMG is the coolest thing I've discovered about Gaia. I would be sad if they got rid of it. I don't mind the adds either. Some of them are funny. ^-^

I think Dyloxic was talking about the Gaia Cash offers ... You know ... watch the video get free Gaia Cash and then buy the pet with the Gaia Cash you received. 3nodding

And I guess it's because of the affiliate gaining some trafic which some how equals money for them and gaia.

i like zomg and i doubt they'll kill it, but i won't spend money on it- i find it ridiculous how much geared towards money this site has become. with how many hits a day this site gets and how much people refresh pages and stuff the site makes plenty of money, and anything extra they needed (and i seriously doubt they actually needed it) could be gotten from users who purchased the monthly collectables. even when zomg first started the cash shop wasn't there, it wasn't until a little later the site became obsessed with money.
and to be honest a looooot of the free offers are scams that require personal information so you can be billed and harassed and whatnot by ads- or require you to download stuff that'll give you viruses 95% of the time. and the rest of the offers aren't free and try to con you into buying stuff- and when you buy the stuff you won't get as much gaia cash as you would have if you had just skipped the offer and bought the gaia cash itself. the free offers are intentionally inconvenient in this way so that it pressures gaia users into buying gaia cash.
and with all the ads and popups and such this site isn't nearly as user friendly as it used to be.
and i could go on but the point is i will not waste my money on this site when it's not needed. and as much as i love zomg, and i do very much enjoy the game, i very much doubt they'll shut it down just because people aren't watching lame ad videos or buying pets on the marketplace rather than form the cash shop. i

actually.. gaia HQ says that zOMG's user base is only 7% of all gaia user base.
and while they say they are going to 'integrate' zOMG more into the main site, the main site devs and artists are already pretty strapped, as well as the small zOMG team. it's going to be tenuous at best, akin to a brain surgery.
