Some movies are good, some are bad, then there are others which I swear are made with the soul purpose of freaking out and tormenting everyone with it's awfulness... Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl is one such movie.
Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl is a Japanese made 2009 action/comedy/horror, directed by Yoshihiro Nishimura (The Machine Girl) and
Naoyuki Tomomatsu (Zombie Self Defense). The story follows Monami, a high school transfer student who is really a vampire, she falls in love with a boy at her new school named Mizushima, and turns him into a vampire to after tricking him into eating some of her blood. But when a mad scientist and school doctor gets a sample of this blood and finds out he can make inanimate objects come to life with it, he takes body parts from random school girls, including Mizushima's ex girlfriend Keiko. The movie climaxes into a ridiculously over the top battle at Tokyo Tower between the Vampire Girl and newly created Frankenstein Girl.
Within the first 5 minutes of this movie it was immediately one of the goriest films I have ever seen. But the gore factor is so far over the top that it goes from Horror movie level blood and guts to horrendously disgusting, more so than what should be present. The amount of gore pulls this film out of any sensible realm of what should be horror and into more of a parody which did not know when or where to draw the line. It was like watching a massive train wreck, you know it's horrible, but you can't help yourself from looking.
Though my friends and I still debate on which movie was gorier and worst, this or Robo-Geisha (That review to come later... maybe) But one thing I gained from watching this movie, is a new instrument of torture to inflict on friends who have pissed me off just to get back at them. If your in the mood for sense less action and more blood than you would see working 10 years in a slaughter house then this is your film. Just might be amusing enough to watch once, but if your like me, you will wonder in the end why you put yourself through such a film.
