Yes, they are ALL related! This will change things...Mr. Burke has a brother and a sister; Frank Longbottom has a sister (I wonder what her last name is now?); Millicent and Harry are pretty closely related...

Very, very interesting. Was this originally a new "easter egg" from Rowling's site?

http://www.mugglenet.com/viewer/?image_location=jkrtelegraph/telegraph_jkrbookaidclose.jpgI got it from Mugglenet, and it's handwritten by JKR for a Book Aid International charity auction. There's an Arcturus Black on the family tree! This gives a lot of credibility to the HPLexicon, if you know what I mean. By the year of death, 1977, I would definitely agree that they're Harry's grandparents. This brings up a few questions. Who is Frank Longbottom's sister? Is the scorch mark between the Longbottoms and the Crouchs Alphard? Who was scorched off in Phineas' generation?

Wow, I would never think that they would all be related... like I knew that most pure bloods are because there are so few of them, but wow.

Definitly cool. Hopefully, once the series is finished, Jo will decide to make a HP encyclopeidia (which I think has been mentioned by her before), and a complete tree with mroe information will be released. I think that it is a possible scenario. But I dont think that the person who manages to win the family tree auction will be someone who will post a complete picture of it on the internet.

More of it was released on the Lexicon. It's fully there, and now there's a second Arcturus. There's also three Sirius Blacks, including the one we know. I knew since OotP that everyone was related, but it's nice to see the genealogy. http://www.hp-lexicon.org/wizards/blackfamilytree.html

I really actually don't want anybody to see the whole thing until after it is sold... It's not because I'm a bad person either! It could greatly decrease the value of it. But I do hope that the person who wins it in auction shares the information with fans. And the money is going to charity, so I want it to be as expensive as possible...

Apparently, according to Mugglenet, Daniel Radcliffe successfully bid for the tree through his mother. The final bid was 30,000 euros (?, I'm American and couldn't see the currency sign too well sweatdrop ).
It's nice to know that Charlus and Dorea aren't James parents. Wrong generation, for starters.
For some reason, it seems that the Blacks had Muggle lifespans when wizards are supposed to have rather long ones.

flying_wings For some reason, it seems that the Blacks had Muggle lifespans when wizards are supposed to have rather long ones. It might be because they are so imbred I mean Sirius's parents are cousins, distant ones but still. So they they probably have problems mentally and physically, that and if they are anything like Sirius they would Carpe the hell out of their Deim, which might lead to their early demise.

Carp the hell out of their Deim? Lol! that's great! Anyway, yeah, I've seen that before. Kind creepy that everyone is related, maybe that's how they keep the magic gene around? hahaha. No wonder everyone is marrying muggles or muggle borns! Or else they'd have to marry their cousin!
