PQ and Retrostacja Captain

I've been thinking that we need a second roleplay for new members to get into. I can only imagine how hard it is to figure out what is going on, despite us trying to explain it.
So I'd like to take suggestions for a second roleplay, possibly one that isn't so downtrodden?

I love dark/downtrodden roleplays. Especially with Aekea it just seems to fit. Also my character is... not that good with human interaction so she really wouldn't attend a huge event with a lot of other humans/robots/droids/borgs/misc unless she was assigned a reason to be there. Of course a reason to go can always be thought of, she'd just be extremely uncomfortable. Hm. There's really nothing exceedingly interesting going on in the Gaia plot since 07 right now. Will try to think of a good plot.

This might be a s**t idea and all..... but what if we do something between where the first RP stopped and before OMNI. It leaves the ending of the OMNI plot open and gives us all a chance to play around with what happened. Of course, we'd have to promise not to rely on material in the OMNI line or in the old RP too heavily (or at all), and that might prove difficult, but I think it would be kind of interesting.
Either that or something completely separate. I'm never good at the concept/setting part of an RP. I'm better at development. sweatdrop

We could also do an rp for the transition between Aekea as it was to OmniDrink Aekea.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but if we start too late, I won't really have a character to play with others. X left fairly early on and didn't speak to anyone (except maybe King...?) after she was gone. xd
But if the point of this is for new people, things that rely on too much of the past would be counter-productive, which is why I'm not sure it's a great idea.

Well, if we set it between RPs one and two, king'll have to go off to Durem at some point.
The start up Aekea... could be fun, but I don't think it would be logical to have any of the currently existing people be there (I imagine Aekea being around for longer than at least king, though still being younger than the other towns...) so most of us would have to make "foundin fathers" type characters. Which could be fun.
How about an alternate universe? Instead of OmniDrink taking over when they did, something else does... like some sort of catastrophic event, where most of Aekea was literally destroyed. The RP would be about building New Aekea on the ruins of the old... or something like that...
We could call it "Reconstruction of Aekea". We could even do a little bit about what the characters were up to before the wide spread destruction, and then time jump a little a head to the survivors resurfacing to rebuild.

Sounds like the halloween plot that we wanted to have but didn't because we had ghosts on Gaia.

Well, we have a 3 year time frame to go by, so I think it could be flexible.

Yeah but at least half of that, OMNI already was a major influence or in control. X probably left less than a year into the time skip. She was a major power in the city, and they were the first to be removed, remember?
But that's also no reason not to do it anyway. I wouldn't mind making a new character (or honestly, just playing Derek) for this story arc.
EDIT: Oooo, founding fathers idea is nifty also. I think it would be funny if we all played some shadow of our ancestors in the past. xd
