This topic will function to keep you up to date on changes to the guild. The date of the most recent change will be listed next to the topic's name, so you should check here every now and then to see if there have been any updates to the game system.

4/27/2014 - Game System Update - Training Sessions
Introducing a new Game Mechanic! You may now train your Pokemon outside of battle in order to improve their strength. Please see the following instructions. This training may be done in any area that is safe enough for it.
Training Session
Sometimes Trainers may wish to train their Pokémon in
a safe environment to improve their skills in Combat.
Everyone may do one training session a day and you may
complete one extra session per day for every five Trainer
Levels you have. Only one Pokemon may be trained per session.
Reward: Half of the total Experience Points
required for the Pokemon's next level, rounded
down.
Example: No matter how close they were to their next
level, a level 4 Pokemon would receive 62 EXP, because
125 is required for level 5.
Requirement: Roleplay yourself and your Pokemon training in a post. In that post, roll 1d20. On a 12 or higher, you succeed with
the training attempt. You may keep trying until you succeed.
Place the following in the bottom of your post so that it is clear that you are training,

4/23/2014 - Game System Update - Hp, Turns, Weight Classes
The crew will be testing out a few new changes to the Game System in order to make PTA work better for everyone. Since the changes are pretty drastic, they will be tested before the Game System is officially updated. There will be another post to determine if the System is permanently changed. These are what will be tested,
Wild Pokemon and NPC Trainer Pokemon Hp will now be shown to everyone in battle.
Pokemon Hp Formula Changed
From: 3 * HpStat + Level
To: 5 * HpStat + Level
Pokemon Weight Classes reduced to 4 classes. Tackle was too overpowered. A level 5 Onix was rolling 7d10 against an Ekans. We assume that more issues with Weight Classes like this will arise so they will be tested rather than just nerfing Tackle itself.

Weight Class 1 – Any Pokemon between 0 – 25 lbs; 0 – 11 kg
Weight Class 2 – Any Pokemon between 25 – 55 lbs; 11 – 25 kg
Weight Class 3 – Any Pokemon between 55 – 110 lbs; 25 – 50 kg
Weight Class 4 – Any Pokemon between 110 – 220 lbs; 50 – 100 kg
Weight Class 5 – Any Pokemon between 220 – 440 lbs; 100 – 200 kg
Weight Class 6 – Any Pokemon heavier than 440 lbs; 200 kg
New
Weight Class 1 – Any Pokemon between 0 – 40 lbs; 0 – 18 kg
Weight Class 2 – Any Pokemon between 40 – 110 lbs; 18 – 50 kg
Weight Class 3 – Any Pokemon between 110 – 330 lbs; 50 – 150 kg
Weight Class 4 – Any Pokemon heavier than 330 lbs;150 kg
Trainers and their Pokemon will now take their turns together, creating one lump turn. This should decrease the amount of posts required for battle and will make the Crew's job much easier. If this ends up being too powerful, we will go back to the old system of separate Trainer and Pokemon turns.
To calculate who goes first in combat, add your Trainer's Dexterity Stat (not the mod) and your Pokemon's speed at the beginning of the round. If a Pokemon faints, do this again at the top of the round with the new Pokemon.

4/15/2014 - PTA Strikes back!
After a three year hiatus, Pokemon Tabletop Adventures makes a shining comeback. The burning springtime passion of the guild's youth can be felt throughout the entire Gaian universe! The forums have been reorganized to allow more interaction between players and the crew will begin looking at balancing the Game System even further!

3/13/2011 - El Capitan Creates Another Character!
I've decided to create another character to play the game with another one of my friends in addition to playing with the team that I'm already part of. I've been in guilds where people have had multiple characters and this secret, pretending to be multiple people at once. I wanted to be up front about doing it myself. My other user name is Sulouch, so you may see him somewhere in your adventure! For the time being, everyone else is still limited to only having one character. I know that I'm cruel and unusual, but I simply wouldn't be able to keep up if everyone had multiple characters. If you're active enough and become a Crew member someday, you may get the opportunity to create another character. Hope everyone is enjoying the guild!

1/18/2011 - Guild Update: Battle Room Sub-Forum
A new Sub-Forum has been created. It is called the Battle Room. This sub-forum will host Gym Battles, various other NPC Trainer battles, and Player versus Player Battles. It will also serve as the place where you will be taken through a battle tutorial in order to teach you how to battle in this game system.
